It's Time to Prioritize Your Self-Care Ritual
Have you been struggling to find any time to do something truly for yourself these days? If your answer is yes, you’re not alone. As we patiently wait for the world to heal and navigate how to properly take care of our mind, body, and souls while at home every.single.day…it’s easy to neglect ourselves as we worry about everything else going on that seemingly takes precedence above all other matters.
Between juggling the news, work, neverending piles of dishes, having things open up again only to close again…it seems that taking time to pamper yourself seems not only rare but almost selfish these days.
So, if it’s been a week, a month, or a few days and you haven’t done anything nice for yourself – we’re here to remind you to reclaim that time.
Make time for a little self-care – even if you can only squeeze in 30 minutes- because you absolutely deserve it and will feel 100% better after doing something for yourself…
MORNING SELF-CARE
We firmly believe that the early bird does catch the worm. Wake up and set your intentions for the day. Whether that’s taking a few moments to do some breathwork, stretching, meditation, journaling, or taking time to be in solitude to read and enjoy some coffee or tea to sit alone with your thoughts…take some time to sit with yourself and your intentions for the day.
Drink hot water and lemon on an empty stomach to cleanse your body. Take your probiotics and immunity-boosting vitamins every. single. day.
Be intentional and present with your daily rituals and try to be present so you enjoy something for yourself while you’re doing it.

SHOWER SELF-CARE
Now that we’re spending an indefinite amount of time at home, we’re taking full advantage of creating a spa-like environment at home with whatever we can.
You already know that we’re all about maximizing our showers. Since we haven’t been able to go to the Korean Spas – or any spas to get a nice scrub down, we’ve been putting our dry brush to good use. Dry brushing on dry skin before your shower helps get rid of dead skin cells and improves your skin’s ability to get rid of toxins through the pores. Make sure you’re always brushing upwards.
Exfoliate your body once a week with a nice exfoliator and lotion for baby smooth skin. Close your eyes, inhale the soothing scents in your shower and pretend you’re in the spa every time you do this. *Hey, we’re trying*
Light a candle, splurge on a nice exfoliator, lotion, and some bath oils and make the shower/bath your safe place for tranquility. Read a book while you’re in there and hell – enjoy a glass of natural wine while you’re at it. Do what you have to do to wine down.
PM SELF-CARE
We’ve really upped our skincare routine these days. We’re using our facial steamer a lot more these days and have been lathering that calming CBD oil and moisturizer on for an extra dose of chill.
We’ve consciously made more of an effort to use our Gua Sha and NuFace devices at home since we’re not able to get a facial treatment. Though it’s not the same, this makes us feel like we were able to do something nice for ourselves at home.
We haven’t gotten our nails done in months so we started to do bath soaks to loosen up the callus and dead skin on our feet and have been painting them ourselves or keeping them natural.
Cuticle oil has been great especially if you’ve been doing an endless amount of dishes and we’ve been taking more time to paint our nails at home.

Most importantly, we’ve been putting our phones on airplane mode once it’s bedtime. Putting your phone on airplane mode when you’re ready hit the hay not only limits your distractions, but it turns off the harmful emf frequencies our phone radiates.
Instead of mindlessly scrolling through your phone at night, pick up that book you’ve been wanting to get into and fall asleep naturally. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

What are some ways you’ve been practicing your self-care rituals during quarantine? Puzzles? Journaling? Maybe you’ve taken this time to adopt a new pet?
Until next time,
What do YOU think?
