Okay, not THOSE kinds of brownies… but they are magical.
Hey guys! It’s Tieghan here from Half Baked Harvest, and today I’m sharing a brownie that you can actually feel good about eating! Everyone… meet the avocado brownie!
Now before you say gross, hear me out. I promise, these do not taste like avocado – or cardboard. No really, they are honestly delicious. In fact, the entire CINCteam has been telling me how incredible they are… like they can’t stop going on about them. It’s safe to say that these brownies will be well loved by all!
Here are the details. Chriselle wanted something sweet, but yet not bad for you. Something that felt indulgent, but was secretly healthy. She mentioned that she loved brownies (who doesn’t?), so I got to work creating a fudgy brownie that she could actually feel good about eating.
These brownies are full of healthy avocados, have no butter, no flour, and are made with natural coconut sugar. Practically health food brownies, right? I took my favorite base brownie recipe and swapped the avocado for the butter, the almond meal for the flour, and the coconut sugar for the granulated sugar. I also greatly reduced the amount of sugar. I know you may be questioning some of my swaps, but you guys, no need to be afraid, these brownies are the best. And with bathing suit season here, we all need a healthy dessert recipe like this to satisfy our cravings.
Bonus? All the avocado going on in these brownies are amazing for our skin. And that dark chocolate? It contains high amounts of antioxidants and also supplies the body with serotonin, which helps to combat stress and improve our mood.
Love this… and these brownies!
Avocado Brownies
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Makes: 16 brownies
2 ounces dark chocolate, melted
2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
½ cup coconut sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup almond meal/flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Add the melted chocolate, avocado, coconut sugar, and vanilla to a food processor and puree until completely smooth, and no clumps of avocado remain- it helps to scrape down the sides of the bowl once or twice. Add the eggs and pulse until the eggs are combined. Add the cacao powder, almond meal, and salt. Pulse until the mixture is just combined. Remove the blade and stir in the dark chocolate chips.
- Evenly spread the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the brownies are just set. Do not overbake or these will become cakey.
Told you! Magic. I am so excited for you all to try these brownies, I know you’ll love them too! I’m curious, have you ever tried a dessert with avocado before? Please, let me know in the comments!

I just made this and it is DELICIOUS. Not too sweet and very chocolatey. If you didn’t tell me there is avocado in it, I wouldn’t have guessed. I like how easy it is to make in a blender because it does all the work for me.

I were advised that my common frame odour has modified and is noticeable.I can simplest put this down to diabetes and am a little disenchanted that I even have no longer observed this going on. https://www.healthylifeandshape.com/diabetes-body-odor/
