3 Easy Cocktails to Make If You Suck At Hosting

We can’t all be the hostess with the most-est.

I love having people over at the house, and since it’s summer – I’m sure I’ll be playing hostess every weekend with Allen! But, I have a confession… I may or may not be the best hostess no matter how hard I try. I see so many gorgeous garden parties and IG worthy charcuterie boards all over the internet, but I’m just not that girl! So, in order to try and step up my hosting game, I asked my girl Tieghan from Half Baked Harvest to help me out to make 3 easy (and delicious) cocktails that I can throw together – because let’s be real… as long as you have some good food and some good booze, you’ve got a party! Keep reading to see the 3 easy cocktail recipes to make if you suck at hosting… aka maybe me!

Cocktails always seem so difficult to make. I mean you have to measure, shake, have enough ice, keep stirring… shaking and not stirring… so I was a bit skeptical at first but these recipes are actually fool-proof! There’s not much measuring going on and you can actually eyeball most of it… and some of the recipes just call for dumping a bottle of booze into a pitcher. Now THAT I can do!

Keep scrolling to check out the 3 easy cocktails to make if you suck at hosting!

Rosè Aperol Spritz

An aperol spritz is a classic summer drink, and this twist is so much fun! Its a great fruity drink and the rosé gives it a light and airy feel. And come on, how beautiful is it? The pitcher recipe is perfect for hosting, too! You just pour eveything into a pitcher and voilà- the perfect sumemr cocktail.

Classic White Negroni

Classic White Negroni

Makes: 1 drink

1½ ounces gin
1½ ounces Lillet Blanc
½ ounce Suze liqueur
Lemon zest for serving

1. Fill an old fashioned glass with ice. Add the gin, Lillet, and Suze. Stir until cold, about 30 seconds. Add lemon zest for garnish

A classic negroini is one of those drinks that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. And the white negroni is on that list too! Made with Lillet Blanc and Suze liqueur… which I honestly didn’t know existed until Tieghan gave me this recipe, the white negroni is such a lovely and light drink!

Mezcal Paloma with Spicy Salted Rim

This cocktail has a beach day in Mexico written all over it! The spiced salted rim is one extra little step, but it really takes the drink to the next level. Palomas are delicious, and I love the mezcal in it… it adds such a smokey flavor. If you’re not a fan of mezcal- a good tequila would taste amazing as well! A grapefruit wedge to top it off and you’ve got yourself the perfect summer cocktail.

So let’s say you’re not the biggest drinker… That’s where these Beboe pens come in! My girl Jane, who we’ve loving dubbed the🧚🏻‍♂️CBD Fairy🧚🏻‍♂️in the office has written about the wonders of CBD and how much it helps with stress on the blog a few times. CBD doesn’t give you a high like THC, but it’s very calming and relaxing. They’re a great alternative to drinking as long as they’re legal in your state! Another alcohol-free option Jane loves is Kin Euphorics.

So which cocktail was your favorite? Be sure to bookmark this post for your next summer soirée! Thanks again to my dear Tieghan from Half Baked Harvest for these yummy (AND EASY!) cocktail recipes! Happy Friday!
