Worth the $$

Some things are worth their price tag.

Like I said in my previous Worth the Money post, sometimes the less expensive versions of things are just as good or better than their pricier counterparts. While I’m all about budget shopping (hello, budget summer trends and the best accessories under $100), I don’t mind dropping a little extra $$ on products that I know will work really well or investment pieces that I can pass down to the girls one day.

I’m sure you all know that I get sent some really amazing products, so I’ve tried pretty much everything from $500 luxe creams to an $8 face mask and almost everything in-between. Of all of the products that I’ve been able to test out, here’s my most current list of items that are well WORTH THE $$.

Keep scrolling to check out what made the cut:

Skincare

Elemis Evening Eye Cream

I’ve been preaching about this eye cream so much that even Allen has been using some and incorporating it into his skincare routine! It’s super hydrating, plumps the delicate area around your eyes overnight to give you a refreshed look in the morning and has helped with my under eye bags. It’s one of those products that if I stop using it, I can really tell and it shows in my skin. Though it is on the pricey side, a little bit goes a long way which makes this cream really last!

La Mer Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream

Another one of my go-to’s is the La Mer Cooling Gel Moisturizer. You’ve probably seen me talk about this product a million times before, like here and here but that’s because it’s THAT GOOD! It’s cooling, really soaks into your skin leaving it feeling moisturized and hydrated without leaving a sticky or oily residue. This feels really great when it’s warm out because it’s so cooling.

Makeup

Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow

This palette is just beyond beautiful. It has a mix of matte and shimmer shades in the prettiest pink hues that look flattering on any skin tone. The formula of the shadows are very pigmented and build beautifully when layered on. It’s a great go-to palette to take your look from day-to-night. A little shimmer on the top of your lid and in the inner corners of your eyes take your eye to a whole new level.

Dior Lipstick

I’ve been a huge fan of Dior makeup and skincare for a while now- I even included some of my favorite Dior Skin products in the last Worth the $$ post! I knew I had to include some lipstick this time around as I’ve had their Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipstick in my purse for the last few weeks. It’s a really smooth formula and is very moisturizing. It’s made with aloe vera and essential oils so you get a flush of color as well as hydration.

Patrick Ta Lip Gloss

I’m not really a shimmery lip kind of gal but the shimmer in this gloss is unlike any I’ve seen before. It’s called ‘Major Glow Lip Shine‘ for a reason! Patrick Ta is an amazing makeup artist to the stars- like the oh-so-gorgeous Rosie Huntington Whitely! (Remember when she was on the channel?) and he recently released a line of his own and I’ve been in love with this lip gloss ever since. The formula is super comfortable, does not feel sticky and doesn’t dry out your lips!

Bibliotheque Eau de Parfum

Another product that has made the Worth the $$ list again is this perfume from Byredo! The Bibliotheque scent is one of my all time favorites. Anytime I wear it, I get so many compliments on it- not to mention it really lasts all day! This guy is one of my favorite perfumes for sure.

Mason Pearson Hair Brush

My hair is really coarse, and figuring out how to properly take care of my hair has been a journey, to say the least. I discovered this brush a while ago and I’ve been so happy with it! It’s made with natural fibers which are good for distributing the natural oils in your hair while exfoliating your scalp and stimulating the circulation of the hair follicles! It’s also great at keeping your flyaways in place.

Bags

Louis Vuitton Envelope & Cardcase

I was gifted this Louis Vuitton envelope clutch and cardcase when I was in New York for the 2020 LV Cruise Show. I’ve been using it as a mini clutch to hold all of my cards and some lip products so that when I change up my purse – I always have the essentials ready to go with me! Though this exact clutch and cardcase aren’t available online, check out the similar ones here! I love that it acts both as a wallet and a purse- and the classic monogram will never go out of style. These pieces will also stand the test of time and will be items I can pass down to Chloe and Colette once they’re old enough to appreciate it.

Oscar de la Renta Baby Nolo Bag

When I posted this bag on my Instagram– I got SO many DM’s asking about it. The Baby Nolo bag by Oscar de la Renta is such a chic and easy summer purse that works with any outfit. The canvas and leather details are something I haven’t really seen in a while, so I instantly fell in love with this bag. It’s super roomy inside and wearing it makes me think I’m somewhere on the Almafi Coast drinking an Aperol Spritz!

Louis Vuitton Dauphine Bag

Another bag you might recognize from my whirlwind trip to the is this Dauphine bag! I love the neutral colors with the pop of red. This bag walked the Spring-Summer 2019 runway and I remember falling for it instantly.

Dior Montaigne Bag

This Dior bag is the definition of an investment piece. First, Dior is one of my favorite fashion houses, and second- just look at her! It’s their newest bag silhouette and I love the classic and sleek lines it has. The leather will only get better over time, and the simple gold monogram is seasonless. The bag is available in several colors but this pink/nude is one of those bags that will go with everything no matter what time of year.

Stella McCartney Sunglasses

These sunglasses are so much fun and even better when Chloe, Colette and I get to match in them. I love the strong classic shape with the rhinestone details. These are definitely some traffic-stopping sunnies.

Lizzie Fortunato Earrings

I got these gorgeous earrings last year (pictured above), and I’ve recently been wearing them again nonstop. They’re so comfortable on my ear and I love the pearl detail! Sadly, they aren’t available online anymore, but I’ve got my eye on these Alta Drop Earrings from Lizzie Fortunato as well!

Simple Gold Necklaces

I love rotating necklaces, and right now I’m loving my ‘C’ padlock necklace from Zoe Chicco and my bar necklace from Vrai + Oro! They give a really cool look all layered, but are just as strong on their own! They’re both 14k gold, which means they’ll be perfect to pass down to Chloe and Colette when they get old enough!

HOME & WELLNESS

Diptyque Gardenia Candle

Diptyque candles will forever be a home favorite, and this Gardenia scent is perfect for summer. Plus, the classic packaging is the perfect finishing touch for any room in your house. Once you’re done burning your candles, you can clean out the wax and use it to hold your makeup brushes, matches, Q-tips, you name it. It’s a true gift that keeps on giving.

Goop Vitamins

My life is in a constant state of chaos and the best way for me to keep going is to make sure I take care of myself and don’t get sick! That’s why I’m really loving these Goop vitamins! They come in a handy single-use pack which is great for when you’re constantly on the go and traveling.
