My Updated Skincare Routine - Anti-Aging with Oily Skin

As we continue to get older, we can only hope that we can all continue to age with grace but throwing in a few anti-aging products doesn’t hurt!

I’m now in my mid-thirties and while I’m still a little too young for deep wrinkles, I’m still a bit too old for acne. I have what I like to call “in-between skin!” I’m a huge believer in preventive skin care and anti-aging ingredients like Vitamin C and E which you’ll find are over my skincare routine. Since keeping your skin hydrated is such a big part of anti-aging skincare… it’s hard to find that perfect balance when you have oily skin like I do. So many anti-aging products are heavy and can sometimes break me out.

I know I’m not the only one with this kind of skin so I went ahead and did some research, tried and tested a few products, and found my perfect anti-aging for oily skin routine! Keep scrolling to check it out!

Versed Cleansing Balm

Taking all your makeup off before bed is actually a great step in anti-aging, believe it or not! Keeping your makeup on overnight is really drying and so bad for your pores. To get my makeup off without totally stripping my skin, I like to use this cleansing balm from Versed. It gets off all my makeup and stubborn mascara off, and smells like eucalyptus! This purifying toner is amazing. I’m a huge fan of Caudalie products and this one is no different. It has salicylic acid in it which is great for oily and acne-prone skin. It helps keep my pores clean and small while smoothing and brightening my skin. (PS: If you’re not sure about using a toner vs an essence, then click here!)

Lancer Skincare The Method: Polish Normal-Combination Skin

I’ve consistently used this scrub about twice a week since I went and recieved my facial from Dr. Lancer! It might be the best face scrub I’ve ever tried! It’s simple, effective, and great for sensitive skin. Along with getting rid of all the built-up dead skin and product from your skin, exfoliation can help increase circulation, and help with your skin’s natural regeneration process.

Tatcha Water Cream

This moisturizer is a cult favorite for a reason! If you have oily skin, you have to be careful with really heavy moisturizers. You need something that can keep you hydrated without clogging your pores. This water-based gel cream is super refreshing, light, and is great for normal to oily skin. Everyone on the CINCteam loves it!

Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask

If time permits, once or twice a week, I’ll try and use this Vitamin C mask. There are so many anti-aging benefits to using Vitamin C in your skincare routine. For starters, it helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and brightens and helps even out your skin tone. This purple mask is another team favorite! It gives you an instant glow and makes your skin feel incredible.

Retinols are another very important ingredient to use for anti-aging. Actually, it’s an anti-aging superstar ingredient! If you want the 101 on retinol, make sure to check out this story here. While I’ve tried a few retinol products, this one from Dr. Lancer has been a favorite! It’s really hydrating and helps with wrinkles, pores, dryness, and redness. An important thing to remember about using retinol is that you should only use it at night as it makes your skin sensitive to the sun. Using it strictly at night and making sure to put on sunscreen during the day (yes, every day even when you can’t physically see the sun) helps protect your skin and let the retinol really work its magic.

If you do happen to get the occasional pimple or hormonal acne breakout (it happens to the best of us especially during that time of the month) then this spot treatment from Versed is for you. It’s not your average spot treatment by any means and under $15. It’s great for inflammation and it helps get rid of your zits without completely drying out your skin!

VINTNER’S DAUGHTER Active Botanical Serum

Since a lot of the products I’ve talked about are oil-stripping, you need to bring in a good oil to bring back some hydration! This one from Vintner’s Daughter is a cult favorite, and totally worth the money! It has 22 botanicals in it and is 100% natural and formulated without added sulfates, parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, PEGs, or SLSs. It feels light enough to not clog up your pores but heavy enough to give you the moisture your skin needs.
