The Beauty Upgrades You Need this Summer

Finding new and exciting beauty products is one of my favorite parts of my job!

A few months ago I shared some of my favorite beauty gadgets (check out the post here!) and you guys loved it- so I’ve been on the hunt for more ever since. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some of these products on my stories, but I loved them so much I wanted to share more about them on the blog!

At Home Face Steamer

We all know that steam works wonders for your face. It opens up your pores to really get in there and get all that gunk out. It’s actually one of my favorite parts of getting a facial- but now you can bring it home with you! I’m sure you guys saw this Dr. Dennis Gross Pro Facial Steamer on my Instagram stories and believe me when I say it’s WONDERFUL. It hydrates, purifies, and seriously helps give your skin a detox.

It’s a little excessive to use for an everyday routine, so I pull it out every so often for my nighttime routine. So whenever I feel my skin getting dull- I set aside some time to give myself a mini at home facial at night (under 10 minutes) after I cleanse! After I steam for about 8 minutes or so, my skin immediately feels soft and supple. Afterward, I layer on my holy grail products, and my skin is as good as new!

Pimple Zapper

Since I've been pregnant, I've noticed a huge difference in my skin. Hormonal acne is a real thing you guys! (Don't worry I'll be doing a whole post about this soon!) So in addition to following the advice that Hannah gave us in this post here, I've been using the Foreo Light Therapy acne treatment when I notice a pimple.

It uses blue light pulse technology to zap away acne- causing bacteria deep in your pores. You just hold it over the area you've been having break outs (for me it's all over my chin!) and hold it for 30 seconds at a time. It's a little on the pricey side, but I can honestly say it's helped calm down my skin.

Kegel Exercise Trainer

Okay ladies, let's talk kegels. If you don't know what a kegel is, it's essential, well, a workout for your vagina muscles! The best way I can explain it is how it feels when you stop yourself peeing... does that make sense? Exercizing your 'pelvic floor muscles' (AKA kegel muscles) makes everything down there tighter and stronger. Which, is great when preparing the body for pregnancy and a faster recovery time after you give birth!

This Elvie trainer is actually a lot less scary than it looks, but as you can imagine it caused quite the conversation amongst the CINCteam! It basically hooks up with an app on your phone and tracks your progress. (PS: if you ARE pregnant, be sure to check with your doctor before you use the Elvie!)
