PFW Day 5: Valentino Dreams
The past 24 hours has been the most chill since I’ve been here in Paris. I got to catch up with some old friends, enjoy a decent lunch AND dinner (this hasn’t happened for days!) and party with my Valentino family! PFW Day 5, you were pretty great.
I started my day meeting my dear friend Nathalie for lunch. We met each other about a year ago at this very location: Hôtel Costes. We reminisced about everything that’s happened over the year and made sure to have some quality mommy talk about our babies. Nathalie and I were pregnant around at the same time and she has a little girl who is a few months older than Chloe. It’s not easy being away from Chloe for so long but having fellow working mommies in the industry to support each other always motivates and inspires me. BTW, if you are ever in Paris and go to Hôtel Costes, you must order the raw salmon… it’s seriously the best I’ve had!
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Valentino has a very special place in my heart as they were one of the first houses that invited me to their show during fashion week. It has always been my absolute favorite show to attend and this year was no different. It was creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first solo collection so there was a lot of buildup and excitement around the show. The collection was as dreamy, feminine, and romantic as ever but with more of a carefree, young, and lighthearted spirit. It was very invigorating to see and I am dying get my hands on a few of those pieces!
The team and I have been working so hard this week and we were feeling a bit tired so we decided to get our caffeine buzz on a little later in the day! I’ve expressed this before but I am so thankful I have my team to continue to motivate and inspire each other. (Even if we only get 3 hours of sleep!)
Out of all the Valentino shows I’ve attended, this is quite possibly my favorite look I have ever worn. It was amazing because my friends at Valentino already had the look picked out when I arrived at the fitting! They said the look was “very Chriselle” (Thanks again, Caitlin)! For being such a simple silhouette, there was so much intricacy and detail going on. From the leather flowers on my top and skirt, to the small rock studs detail on the cuff of the blouse and the rock studs on the heels. It just goes to show you that a little detail goes a long way!
After dinner, we headed straight to the L’Oréal Gold party. We stopped by and said hello to the L’Oréal team. The party was incredibly decadent and GOLD to say the least.
Afterwards, we party hopped to the Valentino party! They always throw the best parties during fashion week and their creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, loves to dance so you know you’ll be on the dance floor all night! I ended up doing a quick outfit change into this gorgeous Valentino gown. It was delicate, beautiful, and I didn’t want to take it off! It was a very intimate event and almost felt like I was partying with my family.
We are mid-way thru the week and although I’m having the time of my life all I can think of is my family and Chloe! I’m trying to keep a positive attitude so we can end the week strong but sometimes all you want to do is curl up in bed and FaceTime with your fam (which I’ve been doing every day) I also snapchatted last night about how exhausting these daily updates are but it’s worth it to make you guys feel like you are here with me! Your words and thoughts keep me motivated so I would love to hear if you guys are enjoying these daily updates!

Oh my gosh that Valentino gown is stunning! Great pictures.
Love the Valentino look. You’re right. It’s so Chriselle. I’m a fan of simple silhouettes too, if I think about it. With a little something something. In colour, in detail, in texture, in contrast etc. 🙂
Congrats, your blog post will be featured in Bloggers Issue Magazine

You looked breathtaking at Valentino’s party, that dress is royalty like! The dinner at Louvre cafe looks delicious and I can only imagine the view and mood! 🙂
Hi Chriselle, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your daily updates!!! I followed your NYFW updates and am now following PFW! As someone who has covered the collections since 2005, I’ve always wanted my readers to feel like they were (right there) with me, I know firsthand how exhausting it is to prep for; attend the shows; and report on the collections. You’ve been doing all of that and MORE!!! Between the editorials and additional meetings, I can only imagine how taxing it’s been. Please think of your friends, followers, and fans as your extended family. We support and appreciate all that you do. And I can only imagine how proud your immediate family is of you!!! Keep up your strength! Try to have at least one proper meal a day–better still, take your vitamins!! And SAVOR these moments!!! 🙂
I’m loving your daily updates!! You are such an inspiration! I live for your OOTD post!! Keep em coming and stay fabulous!
Love all your posts!! So breathtaking and inspiring! Thank you for going the extra mile to make these extra posts possible!!
Such beautiful innovative look. A unique look with creative styling! Simply fabulous! 🙂

I love the daily updates. Thank you and the team for taking the time to do them. Your team is very talented. I will never be able to see all the runway shows you did, so the updates are a big treat for me. You mentioned you were not feeling well-do the time zone changes bother you? I know it affects me a lot when I travel. Thank you for all the beautiful clothes you have shown us. The red Valentino gown yesterday was so striking–it is one of my favorite things you have worn so far, although you look good in everything! I also love the Valentino white shirt you wore today. I would like to have that.
Absolutely love the Valentino outfit! And the second outfit reminds me of Nicole Wayne actually! I am sure this day was the best day cus there’s Valentino!
