I feel brand new. I really do.
I’ve been on a mini hiatus from work and from life (although I’m still blogging every night) for the past month. I mean…can you guys believe that it’s been almost a month since I had Chloe and wrote about my birth story (HERE)? I think I stepped out of the house less than 5 times (2 of them being doctor visits…so those don’t count!). My mom has been staying with me for the past month, and has me on lockdown until I’m “fully recovered”, but besides that I get major anxiety just thinking about leaving Chloe even if it’s for a few minutes.
A few days ago I felt somewhat ambitious and stepped out of the house to run a few errands, and decided to do my hair and makeup while I was at it! Even experimented with a different hairstyle, and parted it down the middle. As I was getting dressed I excitingly grabbed my skinny jeans since I haven’t been able to wear them for the past 6 months. Soon to realize that I still don’t fit into them. Luckily I have a number of flowy dresses that I absolutely love, this sheer white dress being one of them. It’s loose, flowy, and incredibly breezy (since it’s been a scorching 80 something degrees here in LA). Looks like I’ll be living in flowy one pieces for the next few months until I bounce back to my original weight. And a big THANK YOU as I received a lot of enlightening & encouraging comments in my last post HERE in regards to my postpartum weight, along with lots of helpful tips. One reader mentioned. “Remember it took 9 months to add on the weight, so give yourself 9 months to take it off.” But for now I’m loving my body with a bit more curves, as it’s a reminder of the warrior I am (and all the other women out there), and how amazing the female body really is.
Happy Monday!

Your “post-partum” looks better than some people’s normal weight and the fashion is still on point! You look amazing and are such an inspiration to show those of us who have not had kids yet. We now know that we don’t have to lose our beauty just because we just created a human being!

I’m glad that you’re looking amazing after giving birth to Chloe. That flowy dress and boot combo is something I would love to experiment with. It’s such a chic outfit. Also, it’s okay to give yourself a break, as you and your daughter are supported by your family and friends (and also your readers haha). Anyways, keep up with the blogging, you’re looking amazing as always 😀

If I didn’t follow you from the beginning, I would never think that you just had a baby. You look absolutely perfect Chriselle. I meant which woman could look like that after delivering a baby just a month ago? Congrats on the new family member once again. She is soooo beautiful, like an angel.
Such a stunning dress. I never really thought about pulling out the maxi until it was summer…but maybe when the snow melts I’ll try it out!
