I’m a little tripped out by the fact that it’s been pouring in LA for the past 24 hours, but it’s been a nice change. California definitely is in need of more rain due to the drought ! The perfect time to talk to you guys about the importance of having a basic camel coat in your wardrobe! Whether it be a trench or a wool coat, The Camel Coat is one of those pieces that will NEVER go out of style, but also can instantly make any outfit look incredibly sophisticated and expensive (read up on my post How To Look Expensive). Another tip on instantly making your coat look more expensive? Pull out the sleeves of your shirt underneath so it can frame your coat nicely, and so you can see all the layers laid out. For those of you shopping around I’ve listed out all of my favorite camel colored coats below for you to look at!
The countdown starts now as I have a little over a month before my due date, and I’m trying to get everything done before December ends. It seems like the list goes on and on. I’m in major NESTING mode as I’ve started to receive all the products I ordered for the nursery! Ah- and there’s just a million of other personal things I need to take care of before Chloe arrives! I’ve been pretty relaxed up until now, but all of a sudden I’m having major anxiety thinking of all the things I need to get done! I guess that’s what the weekends are for right? Not to mention all the holiday shopping I have to get done, but thank god for online shopping!
Ummmm sorry to break it to you, but can you believe that theres only 2 full weeks before Christmas arrives? That’s right, better get your Christmas shopping done now before it creeps up on you! Exciting times, but also heartbreaking as majority of the designer pieces I bought in the beginning of the year are pretty much ALL on sale! Ah! I’ve been looking for one that fits my budget and that is warm enough to handle winters in New York. Maybe not the crazy cold days, but at least some of them. I love how this one looks like an updated classic, and has an edge that would make me do a double take on the street. Love Aritzia, good reminder to stop by this weekend!

I agree, camel coats are long-time classics. However, I think it works better on certain skin tones better than others. I tend to steer clear from camel colours, because I have somewhat olive skin with yellow undertone (typical of Asians). I find that it washes me out and I blend too much into the coat, whether it be a lighter camel colour or darker camel colour. I love to see it on light-skinned blondes and brunettes though. I believe it’s the pink undertones in their skin that make it work.

I’m in love with the trench coat, I myself need to find one. As far as getting anxious about the arrival of Chloe, all you can really do is just relax and enjoy thr kicking and feeling her. I know it sounds easy to say but truthfully it’s not worth the headache because everything will fall into place.
