A Day to Night look for the Busy Girl

As you guys know, I have a crazy busy schedule. Though I try my hardest to go home and spend time with Chloe and Allen, sometimes I’m out all day! (talk about Mommy Guilt!) I can go from meeting to meeting, and then straight to a night event with out any time to breathe, much less fix my makeup! So after lots of trial and error, I’ve finally come up with the perfect formula to take your makeup from day-to-night! Here are my tips for transitioning your day makeup into a glam and easy to achieve night look! Not to mention the schedule for fashion week will be so packed, I most likely won’t have time to go back to my hotel to do my makeup before attending night events! So I will definitely be using these easy makeup tips to transition my look from day to night!

Day Look

I like to focus on a fresh & natural looks for a day look. Most people would think that a brighter and bolder lip is more for night, but I like playing up my lips during the day so I can keep my eye makeup to a minimal!

1. Eyebrow pencil : Clé de Peau | 2. Felt Eyeliner (Similar HERE) | 3. Concealer : Giorgio Armani | 4. Eyeshadow : Giorgio Armani | 6. Foundation: Clé de Peau | 5. Lip Color : Marc Jacobs

For my day-time look, I like doing a lighter look. Doing a make-up look that’s natural and fresh has a better chance of lasting all day! I use a good BB Cream, or I spot my problem areas with a dab of foundation, just to even out my skin tone. The main things I focus on for an easy day look are eyebrows and a lip! Eyebrows are important to frame your face, and a little pop of color on your lips can make all the difference! & here is a tip for the girl on the rush .. I like to use my fingers to apply my lip color, and then I use whatever is leftover to blend into my cheeks! This makes for a very natural blush color and not to mention it saves me a lot of time!

Night Look

For a night look, I want to play up my eyes and create a more dramatic look with contouring! Remember: contouring is key to create a very strong and sexy night look!

1. Kabuki Brush: Sigma| 2. Bronzer : Jouer | 3. Lip Gloss : Marc Jacobs | 4. Eyeliner stick : Laura Mercier | 5. Pink Lipstick: Jouer

For my night look, I love to play up my eyes. It’s any easy way for a more dramatic look. This eyeliner stick is a double duty product, because I like to smudge the liner, then go over it again with a harder line to give a smokey eye effect! As for lips, I think the most obvious choice is to go for a dark lip color for night, but I like to do a more nude lip so the focus will be on my eyes. Contouring is also super important for my nighttime look, it adds drama and height to your cheekbones!

The most important thing to remember when you’re transitioning your makeup from day-to-night is to keep it simple and easy! It also helps to plan ahead and have the products you know you’ll need on hand for a quick pick-me-up!
