Hey, everyone! It’s Hannah! I’m so excited to be back on the blog (if you missed my last few posts, click here and here) just in time for the Halloweekend! Since Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, I’m sure a lot of you (including myself) will be joining in some kind of festivities this weekend. I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween, but the last two years I’ve ended up going out and wearing a costume that required some kind of crazy makeup. (Check out my David Bowie-inspired look last year!)
I’d like to think that the tips I’m about to share with you have single-handedly saved my makeup on multiple occasions- not just Halloween. Especially the days that I head to events or dinner right after work. Keep scrolling to discover how to keep your makeup on all night:
Or all day… you know, whichever 😉
This face primer (see it here) primes and blurs, giving me a great base to build upon. I work a pea-sized amount all over my face and it keeps my makeup on like a charm.
I don’t know about you guys, but after a long day my eyeshadow creases like crazy! But when I wear this eyeshadow primer– it doesn’t budge! Magic.
I finish off my makeup with this mattifying setting spray, to lock everything in and give me a gorgeous matte complexion.

If you’ve ever watched makeup tutorials on IG or YouTube, you’ve probably heard of the ‘baking’ technique. Basically, lots of powder… but then you brush away the powder?
I’ve never fully grasped the concept. So I do what I call a ‘fake bake’- which essentially is adding a layer of pressed powder after my foundation! It’s a super simple step that really makes a difference.
Similar to how I layer my foundation with powder, I do the same with my contour! Now, I’m in no way shape or form a makeup expert, so a contour stick (like this one) really makes me feel like I know what I’m doing!
I’ll use a small Artis brush apply the bronzer product from the contour stick and then the larger one to blend. I’ll then go over it with my absolute favorite powder bronzer to deepen the color and lock it into place.
Contour Stick: Dior (Similar Here)
Blending Brushes: Artis
Bronzer: Benefit
Bronzer Brush: Sonia Kushak
So what are you guys going to be for Halloween? Tell me in the comments below and be sure to check out my Instagram tomorrow to see what I’m going to be dressed as 😉 And if you do go out this weekend, be safe and have fun!
x Hannah

What lipstick are you wearing? I didn’t find it listed at the bottom. It’s the perfect shade of red I’ve been looking for forever!
