Post Travel Head-to-Toe Skincare Routine

I don’t know about you, but my skin always needs a lot of help after I get back from a trip. I usually end up with a breakout and my skin is always a little dry and dull.

With all the travel during the holiday season, I really wanted to share how I get my skin back to normal after a trip! So whether you’re going home for Christmas or going on a family vacation, this head-to-toe skincare routine is just for you!

Along with getting my skin back to normal, I also have a post-travel ritual to help my body and mind readjust.

The first thing I do is get in a little workout! I like to do a 30-minute run to clear out all the toxins and then sit in the sauna and sweat it all out for about 20 minutes! When I fly internationally, I always try to arrive at my destination in the late afternoon, that way I can do my workout. It helps me get my body adjusted to the new time and sleep as opposed to arriving in the morning and being exhausted the whole day!

If there’s time, I love to get a quick massage to reset, as well as eat a really light dinner and drink TONS of water! Hydration, people, hydration!

Hydration and brightening are the names of the game when it comes to post-travel skincare. For my skin, I always like to start with a little detox before bringing back in moisture.

This mask pretty much instantly transforms your skin. It works as a peel to help shrink pores, purify and decongest! Which is exactly what I need after a trip.

DR. BARBARA STURM Hyaluronic Serum

know I’ve preached about this product for ages now, but it REALLY WORKS! Just a little goes a long way and it adds so much hydration. Along with hyaluronic acid, it also has purslane, which helps rejuvenate your skin!

Just like the skin on your face, the skin all over your body can also get dry and dull after traveling! A little scrub and a lot of moisture can help your body feel back to normal after a trip.

SUSANNE KAUFMANN Oil Bath for the Senses

A good bath after a trip is just what the doctor ordered! I don’t know about you but soaking in a nice bath oil is such a treat and extremely calming for the mind, body and soul. This bath oil is luxe and moisturizing. Add in some epsom salt for even more post travel relief!

The Body Lotion NÉCESSAIRE

This body lotion is a CINCteam favorite. It’s super soft and luxe, and also great for sensitive skin. It’s clean, sustainable, fragrance free and makes your skin super soft without an ounce of stickiness. My girl Jane has gone through at least 3 bottles already – safe to say she’s hooked.
