Editor's Wish List

As editors, we (Jane and Hannah) come across some ridiculously amazing products daily.

Since we spend so much time researching, finding links and essentially online-window-shopping, we’ve definitely accumulated quite a wish list.

It’s safe to say our wish lists have grown a lot since the last time we wrote a letter to Santa. Between skincare, jewelry, home stuff and some designer boots that cost more than our rent, our wishlist could be described as, well, a lot.

But either way, we had a blast putting it together! Even if we don’t find any of these items under the tree, it was a fun way to let our imaginations go wild.

I’m getting emotional writing this as we’re getting ready to close out 2019. My oh my, how quickly time really does fly! How many more holiday movies can I squeeze into this month while eating cookies and drinking cabs? SURELY NOT ENOUGH.

Anyway, I feel so lucky to be able to get to do what I do and get paid to do it. If you asked 5-year-old me what I would be doing right now, she would not have even fathomed it could be something like this.

Being an editorial director is a unique position. I know that it’s such a privilege to be able to write for work, to have so many things sent for editorial consideration, and to be the first to try something before it’s even out on the market. These are work perks that I whole-heartedly appreciate and do not take for granted. If I find that I personally love something enough, that’s when I will write and share them with you all here and on the ‘gram.

With that said, here are all of the items that I’ve added to my shopping cart and added to my wish list. Now, I won’t be devastated if I don’t get them, but they’re all special and on here for a reason and have been hand-selected by yours truly. I hope you love going through them as much as I loved picking them out for you!

I’m addicted to traveling smarter so you can understand why I need this Away Carry-on with Pocket even though I already have the aluminum carry-on because I need that extra pocket to make traveling more efficient. Since I’m always working while traveling, this is a must-have for me.

Every year around Thanksgiving break, my brother and I would type up our Christmas wish-lists on our dad’s desktop computer. Yes, we used WordArt and yes we would print it out. One year, we each asked for laptops. Mind you I was maybe in 5th grade and my brother in 2nd.

That year on Christmas Eve, my grandmother gathered everyone around to watch my brother and I open up our present from her. I was so excited- did Mimi get us laptops?!

No, she got us each a plate and a spinning top, so we could put the plate on our laps and play with the spinning top, therefore making it a ‘lap-top.’

Needless to say, my brother and I got very specific about our wishlists after that.

My Christmas wish-list has definitely changed a bit since then, and honestly, the best Christmas present I can imagine is being at home back in Texas with my family. But putting this list together was pretty fun, too. Enjoy!

The Bigger Carry-On

I love traveling in a carry-on, and I’ve been eyeing an Away suitcase for what seems like years now! They’re chic, sturdy, light, and have a portable charger… what’s not to love?

Over the knee boots are basically a classic now, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman is like the holy grail. I love the little heel on these!

This scent is so beautiful! I love the candle, but I’d really love the roll on oil. While I apply perfume in the mornings, I like to have a little one in my bag to to use throughout the day!

How beautiful is this bag? I’m a huge Saint Laurent fan and this little bag is so dreamy. I have a vintage Celine bag that I got last year but I’d love a nice designer bag that’s on the smaller side.
