The Coats You Need This Season

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m SO excited to start breaking out my coats for this season!

I’ve collected my fair share of coats over the last few years, more than any normal person who lives in sunny Los Angeles should have, but there are always three styles that I find myself coming back to season after season. They’re timeless, chic, and keep you warm while looking cool! What’s not to love? Between borrowing from the boys, a timeless trench and a fuzzy shearling look, I think I’m officially ready for winter!

Keep scrolling to check out my picks for the only coats you need this season:

The Boyfriend Blazer

Borrowing from the boys is always a good idea, and blazers are the best! A good wool blazer like this one is the perfect addition to any fall outfit. I recommend getting a size up so you can layer with your sweaters and hoodies. If you can, try to actually borrow from the boys- your dad, your partner, your brother… it’s like shopping in your own closet!

ALLSAINTS Rowen Ilia Double-Breasted Blazer

Trench

Nothing says fall like a chic trench coat! They look great thrown over ANY outfit, and vary in material so you can get one that works best for your city’s climate. Not to mention, they’ll never go out of style, so you can reach for your trench every year! I’ve got a few that I go back and forth between, but this one from Aritzia is the perfect transition piece – especially on those chilly LA mornings!

Shearling

A cozy shearling coat is a must-have when those temperatures drop! I always make sure to bring when when I travel to colder climates. I love the contrast of the black and white on this one from All Saints! While an all over shearling or fuzzy jacket is a great option, I love the edginess that the moto-jacket hybrid brings to my look!
