I never leave the house without a little something on my lips.
Whether it’s a lip balm, lip gloss, lipstick, lip stain, lip crayon… there are so many lip options out on the market these days. And is it just me, or do you always have at least 5 options in your purse at all times weighing your bag down because you know – you always have to have choices?!
Recently, I’ve spotted a bit of a lip trend happening on Instagram and even on all the girls in the office. It seems like everyone is having more fun with their makeup right now and they’re rocking a funky, fun lip! Specifically, a gloss or glitter that they normally wouldn’t gravitate towards.
While I’ll never say no to a chic matte lip, summertime’s perfect to experiment and have little fun with colors and textures you normally would shy away from.

SPARKLE
While usually reserved for Halloween and New Year’s Eve, shimmer and sparkly lips are making a strong comeback and these Lip Spark Sequin Lipsticks from Tom Ford are so much fun! First of all, the mirrored packaging will look good on any vanity and in any purse, and secondly, they feel SO creamy. The sides of the lipstick bullets are encrusted in glittery sparkles, but the formula itself feels a lot more shimmery vs. feeling specks of large pieces of glitter.
If you’re not in the mood for high shine shimmer, a satin finish, as opposed to a matte finish, will give you that little extra bit of shine!
LIP GLOSS

I’m not usually a fan of glitter but I recently bought a lip plumping gloss from elf in the shade “Champagne” and it is the most gorgeous gold lip topper and the shimmer is so pretty! Love your picks!
