What I'm Teaching Chloe About Beauty

If you guys follow me on IG, you know Chloe’s new obsession with all things beauty.

To be honest, because of the industry that I’m in and because of what I do for work- I’ve always been a little more aware of what I introduce to her makeup and beauty wise. When she was born, I kind of wanted Chloe to be a tomboy… which obviously didn’t work out! So now I’m fully embracing her being the girliest girl ever. She’s so girly, she wants to sleep in her princess dress every night and wear makeup everyday!

When it comes to letting Chloe use any of my products, I’m super aware of making sure that they’re as clean as possible. There are a lot of hidden chemicals in beauty products that no one really talks about. So when I find something that’s super clean and gentle, I’m super excited to use it and even let Chloe try it!

So every once and a while, letting her dig into my makeup bag and helping her with her ‘skincare routine’ is a lot of fun for both of us. Speaking of Chloe’s skincare routine… I’m sure you guys have seen me use the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser in my Instagram stories. I’ve been a huge fan of Sunday Riley products for ages now, and they’re actually approaching their 10 year anniversary.

Not only do I love the Ceramic Slip Cleanser because really helps lift impurities and totally cleanses, but it’s SUPER gentle- gentle enough for Chloe to use too! It’s made with a form of baby soap to make the formula even more gentle than it already was. Along with the baby soap, it has French green clay, white clay, bentonite clay and Neroli which all combined make an incredible cleanser that’s tough on grime but easy on your skin.

Not to mention, Ceramic Slip will change from $45 to $35 and it will come in a larger size. And we love a good deal!

When it comes to Chloe playing with my makeup and skincare stuff, I always make sure to tell her that it’s not makeup that makes her pretty but her kind heart that makes her beautiful. I also tell her that being kind is the prettiest you can be and beauty products are just for fun!

Of course, I’m learning as I go, and with another girl on the way I’m hoping that I can instill the same qualities in her as well. I hope these lessons in beauty resonate with Chloe and with you guys too! Beauty starts from the inside out. And let’s be honest, an amazing gentle cleanser doesn’t exactly hurt either!
