Don't Sweat It

With summer fast approaching, it’s only a matter of time before those temperatures start rising. Though I’ll be the first to tell you how excited I am to pull out those fun summer dresses, sandals, and sun hats– there’s also a little bit of a downside…

Sweat.

Though it’s totally natural, and it’s our body’s way of cooling us off- sometimes it leaves me feeling sticky and icky. Not to mention it doesn’t exactly smell great! So…in efforts to stay clean and smelling fresh all summer long, the CINCteam and I gathered a list of things that will help you maintain your cool.

A Good Deodorant

This seems like a no-brainer, but a good long lasting deodorant can make all the difference! I really like this one here and this one here is pricier, but great if you want to use a deodorant that will make you smell lovely too. If you’re into something more natural, then this one is for you. On days I know I’ll be out of the house for a long time, I’ll grab a little travel sized deodorant or one of these wipes! The wipes come in little packets that you can throw in anywhere – from the smallest of clutches to your gym bag! Talk about live savers!

Blotting Papers 

Another great thing to carry around in your purse is blotting papers! I love these from Tatcha! They’re all natural and help blot away all the shine without taking off any of your makeup. You’d be amazed at how much oil and sweat builds up on your face throughout the day without even realizing it!

Detox Tea 

Just how good skin comes from the within, this detox tea can really flush you of all of the toxins you might have in your body. It helps with digestion and keeps you feeling good from the inside out! Unused teabags are also great if you place them inside your shoes overnight (it helps to deodorize them).

Perfume 

Of course, picking a scent is one of the best ways to smell great – but is it just me or do you sometimes feel like your perfume just disappears after a couple of hours? The solution? A roller ball! A little mini perfume that you can stash in your purse, gym bag, car or even at your desk! It gives you a little scent refresh throughout the day and keeps you smelling 💯 !

Dry Shampoo

Have you guys ever noticed that your hair holds scents? If you’re sweating or around any strong smells like smoke or certain types of food, your hair traps it all in! So any time I feel like my hair smells a little on the funky side, I add some dry shampoo to my hair! It leaves it smelling fresh, neutralizes product buildup and gives me instant volume – what’s not to love?

Face Mist

I swear by face mists. They’re refreshing, keep your skin hydrated, instantly cools you down and keeps your skin looking glowy! While I love to try new mists, this one from Caudalie is one I will never get tired of! I have the full sized one in my bathroom but I always have the mini with me in my bag! It’s got a subtle minty smell which is super refreshing!

Minty Fresh

Did you guys know that mints have actual health benefits? They make your breath smell great, which is always a plus- but they also help you stay awake and can relieve nausea and an upset stomach!

I’m also in love with this scented oval. I hang it in my bathroom but it’s great to add to your drawers, your cupboard or any small corner.
