The Best Rosé Drink of the Summer

Everyone loves a good glass of rosé, right? Especially come summertime, it seems like everyone looks forward to a nice crisp glass of rosé right after work. Well, the CINCTeam and I are no different! Another thing we love? A tasty cocktail That’s why we were all so excited when our amazing food contributor, The Taste SF, created ‘The CINC Elixir’- just for us! We wanted to keep it a secret, but it’s just too good not to share!

I’ll hand it over to Sarah from The Taste SF (if you missed their last two posts, click here and here!) so keep scrolling to get in (rosé) cinc and discover the best rosé drink of the summer! Enjoy!

The summer is all about Rosé bubbles! You’ll want to be sipping on this refreshing spritz with your girlfriends by the pool or at the beach. It’s simple, fruity, and bubbly. It’s easy to make because you just add all the ingredients to a glass and serve–no shaking or stirring. You could even make a larger pitcher of it for a party!

We used Ocean Spray Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice and tested it with several other grapefruit juices. If you use another kind of juice, it may be less sweet so you might want to add a half-teaspoon of agave nectar to your mix. If you do this, mix the juices and liqueur separately before adding it to the ice so that the agave nectar will dissolve. If you add it in with the ice it will just drop to the bottom of your glass.

Garnish with a wheel of lime and you’ll be ready to beat the heat all summer long!

CINC Elixir

Ingredients
3 oz Sparkling Rosé (we used a Cava, you don’t need to go super expensive on this one)
1 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice (we used Ocean Spray)
1 oz Lychee Liqueur (we used Soho brand)
1 lime wheel
¼ lime juiced

Instructions

Add crushed ice to a wine glass (the kind you buy in a bag is perfect).
To the glass, add rosé, grapefruit juice, and lychee.
Cut a lime in half crossways so that you have an end on each side. Use one-half to cut round wheels for garnish.
Take the other half and cut it in half again so you have 2 quarters of a lime. Add the juice of one of the quarters of lime to the glass.
Stir and serve with a wheel of lime in the glass for garnish.

Voilá! The perfect summer drink! Will you be giving the CINC Elixir a try?
