A Day in CINC

About a month ago, my team and I were brainstorming on creative things to do and what kind of community we wanted to build here together and then it hit us! With all the love mail, emails, DMs and comments we receive from all of you, we wanted to say a very special thank you and fly a pair of best friends out to come hang with us for a typical day in the office and #GetinCINC

Just last Friday, the winner, Julie and her best friend Gomadagot to do just that! We put the girls at one of my favorite spots in K-town, The LINE Hotel and our morning started off with fried chicken sandwiches, donuts, and coffee for breakfast (thanks to one of my favorite spots in DTLA, Birdies. Not sure why, but I was a little nervous to meet the girls as well. But then Julie and Gomada arrived we gave each other the biggest hugs you can imagine. It almost felt like I was being reconnected with an old friend!

We then hung out, kicked back and got to catch up whats going on in our lives while getting our makeup done by my good friend Ting in preparation for our photo shoot.

We had such a great time together as Drew was snapping away taking photos for us. Once we were done, we grabbed some tacos for lunch from the team’s favorite taco truck (no visit to LA is complete without a taco truck stop) and we all ended up having such great conversations.

I feel so blessed to be able to do so many amazing things for my job and to be around my amazing team so often that I wanted to share a piece of that with you guys! We wanted the day to feel like a typical day in the CINC office but also wanted to pamper and treat Julie & Gomada as well. Creating a community has always been my dream, which is where the idea for #GetinCINC came from. Being able to have Julie & Gomada in the office and hang out with them one-on-one reminded my team and I just how much we love what we do.

Not only were Julie and Gomada so much fun to hang out with, they were also super inspiring. Julie is a teacher and a single mom and Gomada is a newlywed balancing her career and her passion project. I learned so much from them both! Julie and I immediately clicked and started chatting about all things mommy naturally as we both have toddlers that are similar in age. She gave me some of her tips on potty training and also her thoughts on mom guilt.

I was so inspired by Julie’s outlook on life. Being a single working mom but still maintaining a positive outlook on life and being so connected with her family and friends. She continued to talk about how blessed and lucky she was that I would’ve never guessed that she experienced one of the toughest years of her life. She told me after winning this trip and spending time with me and my team that the world is working in her favor and that she feels so blessed! This whole experience reminded me of why I do what I do, and the power of social media. Being able to connect with beautiful humans through my blog, channel, and Instagram and to inspire and encourage one another. I hope I can continue to connect with you guys and build meaningful relationships online and also in real life as well.

And a huge thank you to BirdiesApolis, Trachtenberg PR, and my CINCteam for making this amazing day as wonderful as possible!

PS: Make sure to sign up for the #FactorFAM emailer because we’ll be giving one of those custom market bags away soon! Stay tuned!
