My favorite season in New York is spring. Although I’m not in New York right now, today’s post was totally inspired by springtime in New York. Though I wish I was in New York, that doesn’t mean I still can’t enjoy a spring day in Cali! So I decided to spend the day in Pasadena, which reminds me a little bit of old school New York. I had tea and treated myself to some yummy treats for a little personal time. That’s what I call a perfect spring day, all while wearing the perfect spring outfit by Kate Spade New York !
When I think of Kate Spade New York, I think of glamorous and fun moments in NYC. That’s why I choose this look from their spring summer collection! I usually stick to my monochrome looks and neutral color palettes, but I decided to be a little daring and paired two unexpected prints together, two different floral prints no less! I am obsessed with this floral blouse because of the girly yet sophisticated elements of it. And how adorable are these high-waisted daisy shorts? To top it off, I wore this classic tweed jacket with the most delicate details (such as a hidden leather bow in the back)! I think when working with different prints, it’s important to unify them with a classic piece like this jacket. This jacket is so versatile that I can see myself wearing it over jeans or a dress this season.
This one of my favorite shoots I’ve done to date, I was able to be playful and bring the girly side out for a change! So this spring, take your girlfriends and have a picnic and try mixing prints that you wouldn’t normally put together. Order an obnoxious amount of sweets and maybe even bring out a glass of wine and just have loads of fun. Happy spring everyone!
