How to Wear a Dress Over Your Jeans

[parallax][/parallax]

I know what you’re thinking: Inception. Yep, this is the bridge from that epic scene from the movie Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio! This is the look I wore to the Mugler show, and I love that this dress has multiple textures. From the tweed to the leather and chiffon pleats- it’s a good mixture of girly, preppy, and overall badass. It might look like I’m wearing tights/leggings, but I’m actually wearing my black leather jeans. Paris fashion week was way too cold to go bare-legged or even wear leggings or tights under my dress. So instead, I got creative and used my jeans!

I have to say that adding a pair of leather coated jeans makes anything look pretty edgy. It gives an outfit a cooler vibe than just your typical tights and overall it makes a look a bit more interesting- and who doesn’t want that! Though the weather is warming up, the next time you reach for tights or leggings- try a pair of jeans instead!

And I know what else you’re thinking. How many times can I wear this oversized men’s leather jacket! It was honestly the best impulse investment I’ve made in a long time (find out why here)! Because most of my outfits tend to be on the girly or feminine side, adding an oversized men’s jacket adds a bit of edge and a whole lot of character to any look. This particular jacket is from Blk Denim (as seen here) I got mine in a size medium because there were no smalls left. It hugs my shoulders nicely, and I don’t have to worry about it falling off! If you’re looking to purchase a men’s jacket, I recommend you go with a size small, it will still give you the oversized look and feel, but you won’t look like you’re getting swallowed! I took some time to research a few jackets that have the same oversized feel for under $250.00! Check them out below!

Happy Wednesday!
