Not a week goes by that I don’t somehow rock a full monochrome look right? But this time, it was a full tweed monochrome look! Tweed can sometimes be viewed as a more mature texture, but something about the cut and feel of this suit, plus this super sporty turtleneck, gave it a much younger vibe. As I’ve mentioned before, red is my power color. So whenever I’m feeling confident or in need of a little boost I always throw on a pop of red somewhere, just like this AKRIS bag (similar here)!
I wore this outfit to the AKRIS FW ’16 show without knowing that the whole collection was based off of different shades of red. Although these pants are a little long on me, there’s nothing more elongating than a pair of wide leg trousers. To key thing is to get them hemmed to your height, or wear some sky high heels to make up the difference! The combination of the long trousers plus the turtleneck made me look like I was ten feet tall!
Hope you all have a happy Friday and a great weekend!

Beautiful look, but the hem is absolutely not the correct length. I agree in long lengths but not longer than you cannot even look. I remember looking your snapchat with this outfit and i thought, oh so beautiful until you were shown painfully walking in these pants. otherwise the combination and the style is nice on you.
I love the outfit, although I think the trousers may be a wee bit too long and they risk getting dirty and worn out fairly easily. But apart from that I think it looks great! Absolutley love the colours. I personally could not wear a polo neck since I get a bit claustrophobic by having things tightly around my neck – and I’m big chested so it’s not really a good look on me, so I envy anyone who can rock it out. xxx
Perfect!

You look great however I think the pants are excessively long and would be more polished-looking if they were hemmed.
I can defiantly use some of the tips.

I’m barely 5ft tall, so thanks for this tip! I find that wearing a high waisted jeans/pants with a cropped top and a long jacket/coat elongates my body very well! x

You definitely look tall. I don’t know how I feel about tweed. I do agree with it feeling like a more mature texture.

Gorgeous look! I am 6 feet tall so I feel that what ever I wear, especially heels make me look like a giant lol! But confidence is definitely key!

Really tall heels make short girls/women look like Barbie dolls or “Gee, Mom let me wear hi heels today.” On tall girls/women they are in proportion to your tallness and you look grrreat!
These pants are awesome! <3
