So what they say is true.. You can completely transform a simple look with one simple accessory! Meet the plaid scarf. My go-to look this season has been high-rise/wide-leg jeans, and I think I’ve been obsessing over this silhouette so much because these jeans can make you look 10x taller! Since I’ve been using this outfit formula so much I’ve started to play around with accessories just to mix things up. Now that LA has cooled down to winter weather, I went out the other day and bought a bunch of really cute scarfs, this plaid Topshop scarf being one of them. I love wearing a plaid scarf for winter because it makes an outfit look so much more put together and adds the perfect cozy element. It’s also the easiest way to update your winter wardrobe!
I’ve worn this scarf countless times, and I love that it’s so full. I can wear it as a long scarf, bundle up in it, or use it as a shawl! And the plaid never fails to put me in the holiday spirit. I agree with a scarf being the easiest way to update your winter wardrobe and my winter wardrobe is severely lacking. I find it intimidating tackling my wardrobe with a long-term mindset sometime. BUT! I have seen some plaid style scarves in monochrome black and white that I would feel comfortable with. I like to start with neutrals and work to muted colours haha.
