If you guys follow me on snapchat (@chrisellelim) and instagram, you guys might have seen that I officially had my first meet & greet picnic in central park last week! The decision to do the meet-up was totally last minute. Originally my team and I were going to do our own little picnic to celebrate the end of fashion week, but after tons of comments and tweets asking for a meet-up, we decided to extend the invitation to our New York audience. It was the perfect way to cap off my NY trip because even though I was MAJORLY missing Chloe, it really made my time apart from her worth it because I got to meet a lot of amazing readers that reminded me of why I do what I do every day!
I loved that this wasn’t a typical meet-&-greet because we were able to provide a space where people could sit and meet other like-minded individuals in addition to meeting me. And because it was a more intimate set-up, I felt like I got to talk to most people that showed up and get to know everyone a little bit better, which was really awesome! Oftentimes, my team and I are so busy pumping out content for you guys that sometimes we lose sight of who we’re talking to! After our meet up I was so inspired to create even more beautiful content for you all! It really made me happy to see everyone tag each other on instagram after and exchange numbers and network! After all, I really hope to build a community where we lift each other up and inspire one another!
And of course, this couldn’t have happened so successfully without my amazing friends at Perfect Picnic NYC. Thank you Wendy for the most glam-spread ever! We had the cutest hors d’oeuvres and desserts that made for the perfect Instagram-friendly picnic set up! From the big details of adding texture with the pillows to the small details like the umbrella and delicious food, it really was the perfect picnic situation!
My team and I are currently back in New York for a short two days for a super exciting project, and then we’re off to Paris Fashion Week! Maybe we’ll do another meet and greet in Paris?
