Since I haven’t been traveling too much these last few months (in preparation for Greece & spending time with Chloe bear)- I’ve really been on a mission to explore LA as much as I can. While location scouting, I discovered this cute hotel called Palihouse in Santa Monica. (They also have a location in West Hollywood.) Nestled in the middle of suburbia Santa Monica, this boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. Driving here, I almost missed it as it’s almost hidden with oversized green trees and an understated white building. But upon entering, I felt like I was being transported into somewhere exotic. As you can see from our shoot here, the inside is really stunning.

These chiffon culottes are really unique (available by Revolve Greylin) and perfect for a staycation! I’m a huge fan of the culotte trend as you guys know, but sometimes they can look a little masculine. But the chiffon fabric in this particular pair of culottes makes it look so feminine (almost like I’m wearing a skirt) and gives them such a relaxed feel! I love pants that are breathable and comfortable.

I wore the culottes with a backless crop-top to play up the proportions. I love a good backless top (or dress!) because it gives that kind of understated sexy with out revealing too much. But the trick with backless is to dress more conservatively on the bottom. When styling a black-less top, whether it be lace up or scoop, I try to pair it with something more relaxed and covered up. Also- can we talk about these flats for a second? (From Bionda Castana.) I’ve just had them on repeat. I’ve been putting black and white on repeat, but I just love adding a pop of red. A little pop of color is the perfect little something extra to an outfit!
