My Summer Uniform

Can you guys believe it’s the last week of August? I don’t know if it’s because of Chloe, but this summer just seemed to have flown by extra fast. I feel like I didn’t get to do as many activities this year (unlike visiting Korea last summer), but I think this summer was all about adjusting to my new lifestyle and figuring out a new system and as well as a new wardrobe! Which brings me to this outfit. I’ve always loved dresses, and this summer I’ve basically lived in a dress almost everyday. I mean, aside from the fact that I have a baby now, one of the biggest changes that I went through since last summer was my changing body. Even though I lost over 40lbs, my body isn’t the same as it was before. And given my extra packed schedule, can you blame me for relying on amazing dresses as my every day summer uniform?

This striped high neck dress is extremely comfortable because it’s extra stretchy, and the best part about it is that it’s an easy summer-to-fall transition dress! Wearing pieces with a mock-turtleneck is also a really great styling trick, it’s slimming and really helps elongate your neck! This military jacket is also a great summer-to-fall transition piece for several reasons. 1. The color and the utilitarian vibe which is very in this fall. 2. It’s lightweight enough to wear for those summer nights and to layer when the weather gets colder! You can also tie it around your waist so it’s modern and trendy, or drape it over your shoulders for a more fall inspired look!
