What is a Diva? Well, the literal meaning from the dictionary states that, a Diva is, “A distinguished female singer; prima donna.” Although I would like to consider myself a Diva, I’m no where near being “a distinguished female singer.” In fact, I think it’s safe to say that I’m partially tone def. Ha! But it all makes sense if you look at the women that are associated with the term “Diva.” At the end of the day it’s simply someone that knows her worth and gets what she wants. So in that case, I guess I’ve always been a Diva since Day 1 even without realizing it! I was the type of girl that never settled because I was always curious of what else was out there. This made me seem a bit indecisive, but it was simply because I wanted more. Don’t get me wrong, I was always incredibly grateful for what I had, but I always loved to push the limits to see how far I could go. I think because of this attitude, I was able to get to where I am today. As I grew as a person, so did my ambitions and my dreams, and I always found myself in evolution.

When Bulgari asked me to interpret their new Diva collection in my own words & style, I was extremely honored.  Bulgari upholds such a rich history with their 130 year old legacy of Italian excellence, and I love how the Diva collection reflects the multiple styles, mood, and attributes of a woman. Each Diva creation from this collection reflects the multiple facets of a woman.  A modern day Diva is someone who can wear multiple hats, hold her own, be strong yet vulnerable, sophisticated yet seductive, and constantly in evolution. Ever since having Chloe, I’ve learned to juggle many roles and some days are harder than others, but I like to know at the end of the day that I gave my all. In the mornings & evenings I have to put my “mommy” hat on, and in the afternoons I have to turn my “business” & “creative” brain on. It’s not easy, but at the end of the day I feel accomplished, and there’s no better feeling than knowing you gave it your all.

As you guys know, I love my dainty gold jewelry pieces, and I’m so excited to have added these pieces to my collection. These have been great additions to my “everyday look”, which usually consists of one or 2 dainty jewelry pieces paired with a  understated yet chic outfit. A diva is all about effortless elegance, you know, that #iwokeuplikethis look, when in fact we all know that she didn’t. She simply makes it look easy, when it actually wasn’t, but on the flip side these Diva pieces are incredibly easy-to-wear.  I think most of us women are so hard on ourselves, including myself, so I’ve been wearing my charm to serves as a small reminder, as I constantly have to wear many hats through out the day, that I am strong, audacious, radiant, creative, sophisticated, nurturing, and that I’m a DIVA.
