I can’t believe I’m already past the halfway mark through my pregnancy! So far it’s been crazy having to re-imagine my life with this baby and having to change my priorities. To be honest, being the crazy workaholic I am, it was very difficult having to slow down for this baby. I’ve always been the type to go full speed ahead, and as I mentioned before, it was even hard to slow down for Allen. But every day as my belly grows bigger, this baby becomes more and more real. It’s mind-boggling to me now that I have a life growing inside of me. I’ve always been a control freak, but this process of letting go and enjoying the journey has been completely humbling and amazing.

Congratulations! You guys are going to be amazing parents! I have a 4-month old girl and I can confidently say it has changed my life. I am in love with my daughter (my husband is doubly in love with her) and all my priorities have shifted. I was a control freak (still am in some respects) and a workaholic but your baby definitely becomes the boss and you have to follow her lead. You’ll be on her schedule and she will dictate what you do and when. But she’ll be amazing! Enjoy every moment, take some time off to spend it with her, it goes fast. And please post pictures! She deserves to be swooned over!
