These past 2 months have been full of fun, hard work but have also been pretty exhausting (on my body and on my skin). I’m pretty sure I’ve traveled to Europe every other week since the beginning of May and I’m not going to lie – I definitely didn’t fully unpack any of my suitcases in-between my trips… mainly because the idea of having to unpack to pack just within 2 days was not worth it. Do you blame me? Beyond just the clothes, I ended up traveling with the same skincare products and put them on rotation.
I usually carry one large bag for all my skincare products then a little pouch for my in-flight essentials. Europe was very hot, so I knew I needed to layer on a good amount of moisturizers along with sun protection.
So today, I’m going to share the skincare products I brought to Europe with me as well as my morning, night, in-flight & beach skincare routines! Keep in mind these products made the cut because I always test out products for at least 2-4 weeks before I share my review and experience with them. I want to be able to give you all the most accurate review as possible!
In-Flight
My in-flight skincare routine varies as I’m always testing and trying out new products. However, these last 2 months I’ve been using these main products while I fly. It’s actually a lot shorter of a routine than my usual since I’ve replaced my typical moisturizer and oil with this all day mask.
1. Makeup Remover Wipes –Neutrogena
I always use these guys at home but I also make sure to bring them with me whenever I fly. The first step in my in-flight skincare routine is always to remove my makeup. You never want to sleep with makeup on (especially in flight), and using a wipe is a lot easier, faster and less messy than removing your makeup in the tiny plane bathroom!
2. Molecular Savior Mist – Allies Of Skin
I discovered this brand about 2 months ago and was immediately hooked. I particularly love this mist because it has a blend of aloe, rose water, and tons of probiotics and antioxidants. It’s ideal for traveling because it’s made with a special anti-evaporation molecule which clings onto your skin cells instead of vanishing away. It counteracts the effects of jet-lag and fatigue which is why I ALWAYS travel with this mist. I highly recommend getting this!
3. All-Day Mask – Allies Of Skin
I’ve been using this All-Day Mask for the past 2 months and it’s been game changing for my tired and fatigued skin. I’ve been able to fake that “I got a good night’s sleep” with this All-Day Mask as it leaves my skin glowing, hydrated, and dewy. It’s also the world’s first leave on day treatment mask. It multitasks as a moisturizing cream so I find myself skipping my the moisturizer and oil steps when I’m on the plane. Gotta love those double duty products!
4. H.A. Intensifier – SkinCeuticals
This is one of my favorite serums I’ve tried out this past year. I’m on my second bottle of it and I’m nearly out! This serum increases your skin’s hyaluronic acid levels by delivering hydration leaving your skin plump and supple. I usually use this during both my morning and night routines since it’s just THAT good.
Don’t forget about your lips when you’re traveling! A good lip balm like this one from Aesop helps keep my lips moisturized and soft throughout the entire flight. Not to mention this formula has SPF in it, which means it perfectly translates to days out in the sun! There is nothing worse than having cracked lips. Not only does it hurt, but your lips get flaky and your lip color looks off if you don’t properly moisturize them.
Nighttime Routine
My Nighttime Routine is probably the most time-consuming part of my day. But I really take the time to prep my skin before I doze off as it is THE most critical time for your skin to renew, rejuvenate and heal itself from battling pollution and all obstacles during the day.
1. Face Wash – IS Clinical Cleansing Complex
I absolutely love this cleanser so much that I bought the smaller travel size version! I’ve been using this on and off for about a year now and I discovered this brand through a dermatologist. She told me that it would be really good for my skin and she was 100% right. I find that this cleanser really reaches deep into my pores to unclog them as well as the surface without stripping the essential natural oils. It’s also really great at breaking down and removing your makeup!
2. Micellar Water Cleanser – By Terry
This is another product that I’ve been really obsessed with where I also bought the travel sized version. I like to use this micellar water by dabbing it onto a cotton pad after I’ve cleansed my face to ensure I get all of the additional stubborn makeup off. It removes all impurities and leftover makeup from my face leaving my skin looking glowy and illuminated!
3. Toner with Chamomile – Darphin
I’ve been using this toner for a while now, and it’s been great for my skin as it balances out my skin’s pH level. Again, this is another product I have the full-size version at home but travel with a smaller size. The chamomile reduces any inflation and redness (I tend to break out when I travel) and leaves my skin feeling really calm, refreshed and relaxed.
4. H.A Intensifier – SkinCeuticals
I already talk about this product above in my travel section, but I use it before my moisturizer as it enhances the Hylaronic Acid making the moisturizer even more effective.
5. Peptide Night Recovery Cream-Oil- ELEMIS
I haven’t seen a cream that already has oil in it, so this product was an instant win (almost like a 2-in-1!) I’ve been using it for about a month and it’s been working wonders at deeply hydrating my skin. The cream/oil formula brings the hydration of a moisturizing cream with the protection of an oil. I also use it along with the Hydra Boost Serum which provides hydration for really thirsty skin.
6. Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil – Drunk Elephant
A friend of mine who works at WWD Beauty turned me on to this brand as she said it’s one of her favorites. She is incredibly credible, so I instantly trusted her opinion. As you guys know I’m a huge believer in oils and not a day goes by without applying some type of oil onto my skin. Whether it be mixing it into my foundation for a natural summer glow, or to use it nightly, this oil is highly absorbent and mixes well with all of my moisturizers.
7. Sheet Mask – Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask by 111SKIN
Traveling and jet lag definitely takes a toll on my skin so I always bring a number of sheet masks with me. I love the gel structure of this Bio Cellulose Mask as it instantly brightens, firms, and enhances moisture level. Don’t forget to use the excess essence all over your neck! Do not waste it!
Morning Routine
My morning routine is much more simple than my nighttime routine. My skin still has an abundant amount of amazing products seeped in, so I don’t necessarily need that much. I also just like to cleanse my skin with lukewarm water instead of washing it with a soap or a cleanser. My morning products are pretty much the same from the nighttime routine, except for my moisturizer.
See Nighttime Routine to read my review.
2. H.A Intensifier – SkinCeuticals
See my in-flight plane routine and/or my night time routine for this review
3. Goat Milk Moisturizer- Kate Somerville
Probably hands down one of my top 5 favorite moisturizers ever. My best friend MommaSohn told me that this has been her top moisturizer for years now. This moisturizer is great for dry skin but also for combination skin like mine. The goat milk and natural milk proteins deliver deep hydration for the skin without feeling heavy at all!
4. Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil – Drunk Elephant
See my Night Routine for the review. I don’t use too much oil during the day as it can sometimes make your skin look greasy, but I like to mix a tiny bit in with my moisturizer as it gives a healthy glow and/or into my foundation.
Beach Routine
If I’m going to the beach for the day, (which was practically every day when I was in Ibiza) or if I know I’ll be out in the sun, my morning routine differs slightly mainly from adding more sun protection to the skin.
You guys have seen me talk about this SPF for a while now (like in this post here), but it honestly is one of the best. Mainly because the formula is one of the most weightless and quick absorbing SPFs I’ve ever used. It also NEVER peels off no matter how much product or makeup I have on. It’s like an SPF butter.
2. Every Sun Day UV Sun Fluid SPF 30 – Dr. Jart+
I found myself wearing mostly the SPF50 from La Mer in Europe since the sun is so harsh, but If you are looking for an everyday SPF to wear under your makeup (or even without) that one by Dr. Jart is also a great option (and affordable)!
3. Moisturizer- GLYTONE Triple Defense Brightening Complex with SPF 30
I LOVE this moisturizer as it really brightens my complexion under my makeup. It almost acts as a primer before I apply my concealer/foundation for the day. The best part is that it includes SPF 30 in it. If you are not into applying a ton of products onto your skin, then I highly recommend this moisturizer as it’s an all-in-one. It brightens, moisturizes and protects!
4. SPF 50 Makeup Setting Spray- Kate Somerville
Ok… this has to be my newest obsession for the season! Mainly because it literally sets my makeup in place (so I won’t sweat it off) and also protects my skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. The mist instantly sets makeup, reduces shine, and gives you a nice matte finish. The Hyaluronic acid in it also softens and blurs your skin making it look extra smooth and soft.
Shower Routine
A pet peeve of mine is when a hotel, house, or where ever I’m staying doesn’t have good shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. (That’s usually the case unless you’re staying at a really nice hotel). I like to be prepared when I travel so I bring a travel kit with me that includes everything I’ll need for the shower.
I first got turned on to Malin + Goetz by their incredible detox mask (which is still one of my faves).
1. I recently discovered that they have a Travel Essential kit where they include their Vitamin b5 Moisturizer, Peppermint Shampoo and Cilantro Conditioner (I’m going to buy the full-size shampoo & conditioner now because I’m obsessed!), Grapefruit Face Cleanser, and Vitamin E Face Moisturizer. The brand is unisex so Allen has been using and loving these products as well!
Are there any products you always travel with? Let me know below!

LOVE reading your posts about the products you’re trying! It seems I’m always looking for new stuff even though my cabinet is overflowing hahah.

Personally, I want to recommend the Yu-Be Skin Care Travel Set! Their stuff is amazing, it keeps my skin soft and smooth whether I’m in a humid or dry climate, so it’s a must for traveling. And the set has all the products in one compact case, so you don’t even have to think when it comes to packing!
Your photos in this post are absolutely beautiful, so well shot and great product recommendations. I really need to try Kate Somerville and Drunk Elephant!
I’m loving your beauty posts!

Have you tried Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari babyfacial yet?! I’m obsessed, you have to try it!
Its god that you carry two bags with you specially when you are visiting the Europe in the summer. I once had a similar visit to Spain but my falt was I didn’t carry any moisturizers with me.
Thanks for all the recommendation! Those products look gorgeous! Sure will try some of them.

Hello Chriselle:)
Thank you for the post! I really enjoy learning skincare tips from experts like you:D
Here are a few questions that I have. I am very grateful if you could answer me:):
1. Can you share some skincare tips with people of combination skin type (me TAT) please? To me, having oily skin in the T-Zone area while living in a super humid city (Hong Kong) really sucks.
2. Does age matter when it comes to the skincare products that one uses? My mom always tells me that I am too young for expensive skincare products and that drugstore ones are more than sufficient LOL
Thank you very much <3
I have big troubles with my skin and I’m already using very good products, but this shows me, that I can do it better!
Thx❤
Looks like the SkinCeuticals made it to almost every routine! <3 🙂 I've heard about SkinCeuticals for a while now but haven't had the chance to try their products yet, but your review makes me want to try it so much! And loved this thorough list! Taking care of skin is a must, especially when traveling!
