3 Ways to Style a White Coat

If you guys remember my 3 work outfits post during the summer, one of the outerwear that I wore often during the lighter temperatures was a white trench coat! If I’m not wearing all white looks then I’m wearing a statement white piece. There’s not much that changed this season except now I’m donning a thicker and cozier white coat like this Topshop coat (similar one found here). Because white is such a neutral color, this coat is incredibly versatile and can be worn in any setting while still looking classy and pulled together.

Here are 3 different ways to style a white coat for the winter!

1. Dressy

I like pairing bright colors with more neutral colors for a complete and classic look!

As the holidays are approaching, this white coat is perfect for holiday parties! Since it’s such a neutral color, it can be worn with brighter and more fun looks like my all red outfit. I actually love this outfit because I feel like it’s dressy enough to wear to a party while still keeping cozy! The wide turtleneck of this sweater is a bit more casual and fun, but the slit in the pencil skirt keeps it classy and sexy. And the most important tip? Don’t forget to pull out your sleeves so that it peeps from under the sleeves! I love doing this because it instantly makes you look expensive (read 11 more tips to look expensive here) and polished!

2. Minimal

I’m definitely still on that 70’s trend this holiday season with my braided bell bottoms. But I’m adding a more classic element with this white coat!

When I work from my office for meetings and shoots, I want to keep it minimal and classy. I definitely find that simple looks are the easiest when I’m rushing to the office after spending the morning with Chloe! As a new mommy, less is definitely more when it comes to the amount of time I put into getting ready in the morning. I wore these jeans during the summer a lot but I’m still kind of obsessed with it even now. Wide legged pants help make me look even longer, especially high waisted ones! I like having very simple pieces like these jeans and a fitted white turtleneck. I feel like a white turtleneck is a piece that every girl should have in her outfit because it’s so versatile and can make you look super chic. The best thing about this turtleneck is that it cuts perfectly at the neck!

3. Casual

Although a look may be more casual, it doesn’t translate into sweatpants. Casual to me means simple with a flair.

Although this coat can look super glam and classy, it can also be casual if dressed down with a pair of thigh high boots. This plaid scarf is a great piece to have as part of your winter wardrobe. I like scarves with a print because it adds an interesting element to an otherwise plain outfit. Just because a look is casual doesn’t mean it can’t still be interesting!
