Okay everyone, let’s talk about pubes, shall we? We all have them, but for some reason, they’re still taboo to talk about! I say we shatter that and have an honest discussion about pubic hair. Some love theirs, some hate theirs and it’s safe to say that we all deal with it in different ways. Shaving, waxing, sugaring, leaving it be- it’s your body so you do you and whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident.
A step a lot of people skip if you shave down there- or even your legs- is to exfoliate! Rule of thumb is that you shouldn’t put anything ~down there that you wouldn’t put on your face. Exfoliating helps prep your skin for a razor by getting rid of all the dead skin cells for a cleaner shave.
Shop: Exfoliator
Okay, how cool is this stuff? I discovered it not too long ago when Violet Grey sent this over and I’ve been hooked ever since! It’s basically an oil that you can use on pubic hair or on your skin. It helps prevent ingrown hairs (ouch), softens hair, clear pores, and reduce any inflammation. Heaven sent for the girl that likes to shave! I’ve been using it every day since I got it and I can really tell a difference! I’ve even gotten some of the girls on the CINCteam to start using it as well!
If you do shave down there, make sure to always do so with a fresh, new razor. You’ll get a cleaner shave, plus you won’t have to worry about dull blades. Also, use an unscented shaving cream or oil when you shave so you don’t irritate your skin! (PS: if you’ve run out of shaving cream/oil- hair conditioner works great in a pinch!) After you shave, make sure to moisturize! Coconut oil is a life saver.

So no matter what you do to your hair ~down there, just remember to take care of it. And if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them! Leave a comment below and have a great Monday!

I alternate between a bush and a trim. I either trim with a pair of sharp nail scissors or just lightly skim over with an electric razor (both avoids ingrowns)

Wow. I was just thinking about mine this morning. I’m pretty hairy down-under and even though I wash (for some reason I have an uncomfortable itch)… [THAT WAS PROBABLY TMI] lol sorry … I never really thought of exfoliating… Thanks a bunch for this post!

Love the boldness! Definitely something that shouldn’t be embarrassing to talk about ❤️ Making women proud of being women, love you and your work!
Any bathing suit suggestions for gals who like to keep it au naturale down there (ie not shave the pubes), but would like to hide the bush? It’s hard to find something that covers well. Thanks! Xoxo
I enjoyed this. I have never thought about I could use exfoliated in that area. http://www.ARGINEH.com

I’d love to try that oil out! I always find myself going back to shaving (not the bikini area though waxing down there changed my life) but other parts is just too much of a hassle to get waxed/wax myself. x http://www.justsavxnnah.com
uh need to check out fur oil asap! I get bumps and redness no matter what I do.

I must try the fur oil!! I tried brazillian waxing in the past but the pain was too big and I had to wait too long in between sessions in order for the hair to be long enough to be picked up by wax. Plus, one time I got a very bad burn down there that looked like a horrible eczema. So yeah, I’m back to shaving! I used to get the worse razor burn and irritation, but what worked wonders for me is Tend Skin. It really helps a lot after each shave. And I also apply a Stress Relief Oil from Dermalogica which is very good at healing the skin and reducing irritation.
