Worth the Money - Home Edition
During our 20’s, most of us are generally focused on spending those hard earned dollars on “fun things” come the 1st and 15th of the month. These fun things often consist of fashion, beauty, bags, shoes, trendy things, and well… more shoes.
Then…something changes in your late-20’s. The trends that everyone seems to be wearing and talking about don’t seem to excite you as much any longer and you find yourself searching for the perfect mattress or cast iron instead. One thing leads to another and now, you’ve fully started the hunt for ways to upgrade and improve your home.
Since your home is your safe place, you might as well do your best to make sure you’re enjoying all the time you’re spending there, right? As we are staying home now more than ever, we decided to make this month’s Worth the Money series all about the home.
Keep scrolling to see what home goods the CINC team has deemed worth the money!
Coffee and Tea Upgrades
If you’re a coffee aficionado like our Editorial Director Jane is, it may be time to invest in an espresso machine. It’s pricey, but she says it’s worth the investment. If you want some espresso in your life, but aren’t trying to break the bank, this Bialetti Stovetop Espresso Maker is also a great option for the stove.

Signature Home Scent Upgrade
For your guests (and yourself), you want to make sure that your home is as clean as possible and that it has a nice, inviting smell. The right smell puts you at ease and in a calmer mood. We’re also into making sure our bathroom smells nice and looks polished.
Having a diffuser at home to disperse airflow throughout a certain area in your home is not essential, but it sure does make your space warmer and more aromatic. We like adding essential oils like lavender or eucalyptus in ours to create an overall spa-like, zen feeling.

Bedroom Upgrade
You spend over a third of your life sleeping, so you better make sure your bedroom is THE coziest, most sacred space. The average lifespan of your bed mattress is 7-10 years so if you’re way over that, it’s time to toss it! If you’re still using the same bedding you had in college, now’s the time to consider upgrading those as well.
Parachute Linen Bed Cover
H&M Faux Fur Slippers
Bathroom MVPs
Air Quality Upgrade
Dyson Air Purifier
If you’re not in a position to add anything new to your home, moving things around and feng shui-ing also helps your space feel cozy and brand new.
What was your first home “upgrade” purchase? Let us know on our Instagram page here or comment below! Until next time!
xx,
CINC Team

Great blog post! This definitely makes me think about my spending habits. I totally agree that long-term investment is better than spending money on something that’s trending at the moment. 🙂
