Not So Basic Gift Wrapping

Wrapping presents is fun, but it can sometimes be really stressful. Whether it’s the pressure of getting the “perfect gift” or making that gift you spent so much time getting appear as perfect on the outside as it is on the inside, I end up spending so much time picking out a present that I’ll completely forget to buy wrapping paper! If you do the same, or if you want to be extra creative this year, then this post is for you. Keep scrolling to see how to make 3 super unique and not-so-basic gift wrapping.

Materials

1. inexpensive nail polish
2. large container
3. water
4. paper (thick heavyweight paper works best!)
5. tape
6. ribbon

Directions

1. First, grab whatever inexpensive nail polishes that you have! Nicer polish sinks to the bottom while cheaper floats (we need polish that floats!) Then, grab a container that’s larger than your paper and fill it with 2 inches of water. Remove brushes from the polish and shake/drizzle the polish into the water.

2. Lay the paper on top of the water, do not submerge and gently press your finger across the paper.

3. Peel back the paper and set aside to dry. Then, once your art is dry, wrap your gift and finish it off with a ribbon!

Materials

1. Roll of kraft paper or desired wrapping paper
2. Tape
3. Twine or Ribbon
4. Fresh Flowers
5.  Your favorite Perfume

Directions

1. Wrap your gift with the desired wrapping paper.
2. Finish off with twine or ribbon.
3. Cut fresh flowers and tie with twine and ribbon. Then, spritz some of your signature perfume for an extra personal touch!

Materials

1. Old Magazines
2. Tape
3. Ribbon

Directions

1. Grab whatever magazines you have and tear out interesting editorials, ad campaigns and articles.
2. Tape the pages together to have a larger piece, big enough to wrap the gift.
3. Finish with ribbon and bow to ensure a complete look!
