Are you ready for me to change your life? Okay, I miiiight be exaggerating, but this beauty hack really is one the best I’ve come across in a really long time. You guys know how much I love for my skin to look dewy for every day and matte for photos, right? Well, I’ve found the perfect way to balance the two looks. It’s the beauty hack you never knew you needed.
It’s actually so simple, I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to incorporate it into my routine! Two products. One Simple Step. Simply mix a few drops of your favorite oil into your favorite foundation to create the most hydrating, smooth and non-cakey foundation coverage ever. I’ve been loving mixing this Darphin oil with this Armani foundation!
I do a single pump of the foundation on the back of my hand and 1-2 drops of my oil and mix. Then, I apply the mixture as I usually would as my foundation. The foundation, which is already amazing on its own is almost made into a super foundation when combined with the oil. I get to treat my skin PLUS have a flawless base for my makeup. What’s not to love?

I’ve been mixing my foundation and oil for a few months now, and even turned the girls on the CINCteam into believers! We all have different skin types, with different skin needs, and we all love this hack so much. With the warm summer months here, mixing foundation + oil keeps my skin moisturized and feeling light. I asked the girls on the CINCteam what their go-to foundation & oil combos are, so check out the widget below:
Do you guys have any beauty hacks that you swear by? Do they change during the summer? I want to know! Leave a comment down below to tell me and have a great Thursday!

I’ve been doing this with my foundation for months now, it’s so good!
Hi, Chriselle! I’ve never try to mix my foundation with my serum, but once I was searching for the benefits of coconut oil and it said coconut oil was, among many things, antioxidant and I started to use it to hydrate my skin once a week like a shot of energy! (I apply coconut oil in my skin as a night mask and in the morning after my skin is flawless.) And then I was thinking about what would happen if I use coconut oil as a primer… And the results are super cool! My foundation is a matte finish one and then with coconut oil it looks so glowy, so flawless!
Love this idea! I’m obsessed with La Mer oil right now! It’s disappearing too quickly!

I use the Josie maran Argan oil luminizer and mix with my bb cream or whatever foundation I’m using that day… gives you a glow wherever you need it without looking frosty… 😜
I use the same! But I use rose hip oil instead. Loveeee. Great minds think alike.

I used to mix my daily serum with foundation for more sheer coverage. But oil? Interesting. Maybe that’s what makes the foundation last longer and more glowly like those ‘Instagram tutorials’. Will try it out. Thank you!!
Thank you misses Chriselle! Thank you for the tips ma’am……… 💛😊

I’ve never tried this before, but I’m definitely interested in giving it a go! Great tips. 🙂
I started mixing a drop or two of oil with my foundation 9 years ago (10 years this fall). I purchased a full coverage Estée Lauder foundation and found it to be a little too cakey upon the initial application swipe at home so I grabbed my bottle of argan oil and added a few drops to thin it out a little. I loved the results. And though I’ve alternated different oils and changed foundations over the years, I’ve been doing it constantly for almost a decade now. (I’ve also changed from adding a few drops on my hand to putting it directly in the foundation bottle to save a step in the morning). I love the extra nourishment it gives you skin and how my makeup always looks flawless. As an added bonus, since I started, I consistently get told how amazing my skin looks!
i love this trick have been using it for almost a year!

Oh yes, I knew about this trick before but I somehow never remember to apply it to my usual makeup routine!

I’ve been doing a version of this with my liquid blush for a while now. I take a big scoop of my moisturizer and blend in a liquid blush. Mix it until it’s the color strength I want then I put it in its own container for future use. Not only does it look super natural, it also is moisturizing my face with my own person moisturizer.
This combination sounds great! What shade are you for the Giorgio Armani foundation, Chriselle?
