A few weeks ago when I was in Korea, I got my makeup done by the famous makeup artist Ko Won Hye (See the Korean Makeup tips I learned here!) One of the coolest tricks that she taught me was how to conceal my under-eye circles. I’ve always struggled with dark under eye circles and it seems that no matter what I put on them, or how much concealer I applied, the problem would only get worse! I have to be very careful when I try to cover them up because my makeup sometimes gets cake-y. It’s a huge struggle for me. But when Ko Won Hye did my makeup, she blended a bit of burgundy lip color with some concealer to apply under my eyes, and suddenly, the dark circles were gone! Just like magic. I call it the Burgundy Lipstick Trick!
So if you’re like me and you struggle with dark under eye circles, you should definitely give this trick a try! All you have to do is blend a bit of dark burgundy lipstick with a cream concealer like this one here and blend under your eyes normally to watch your dark circles disappear! The trick is to blend properly, so make sure you have a good quality brush or beauty blender!
Here’s to the only bags you have be on your arm! Have an amazing day everyone!

It’s such a beautiful color. I’ve probably bought at least 2 different shades just in lipstick. Amongst all my other burgundy purchases.

thanks, Chriselle!
and Colleen! I was just going to ask about coloring. I have completely different coloring from Chriselle…so wondered how this trick would work for me…though lipstick-wise I usually wear deep raspberries, or mauves/pinks.
I guess I’ll experiment on my circles with all of them!

For me, the struggle of dark colored lipsticks in general would make me look like I have chocolate all over my mouth. No matter how neat I put it, I always looked like I just ate chocolate! So help me out with this one x

Get a good lipliner! It helps keep the lipstick in place! xx
That’s a great tip! I also sometimes blend orange lipstick with concealer to cover up dark eye circles. It all depends on the undertones of your dark circles( blue and purple need yellow or orange and grey or brown you need a touch of red or burgundy)
You look great in that color! I love that color lipstick too.
