I got this Zimmerman dress to add to my Greece wardrobe, but it literally weighed 5lbs and it really weighed down my suitcase. (And of course Allen didn’t let me sneak it into his suitcase haha.) So I decided not to bring it with me, but I knew I had to shoot it before summer ended! Something about the dress’s whimsical colors reminded me of one of my absolute favorite childhood movies, Alice in Wonderland. Doing this shoot really made me feel like I was in another world!
One of my favorite things about being a mom is that I’m constantly able to play make believe with Chloe. It takes me back to a place that’s very nostalgic. Allen & I are now reading books to Chloe that our parents read to us! It’s kind of surreal. Although Chloe is too young to watch Disney movies right now, I’m pretty sure I’d be crying throughout every one I watch! I guess in a sense, being a mom makes you young again. I’m able to re-visit a place that I wouldn’t be able to go to without Chloe!

Oh My Goodness… that dress is absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of playing Barbie when I was a little girl. I’m sure Barbie had a dress like that and it was my favourite. Absolutely in love with it. You really do look like someone from a fairytale. An absolute beauty… you and the dress!

I love this post and that dress is gorgeous! I usually sneak things into my husbands suitcase as well 🙂 I totally agree with you about motherhood making you young again. My daughter is almost 2 and I love watching things through her eyes and playing all these things I used to do as a child. It makes you slow down and enjoy the little things.
