3 Swimsuits for 3 Different Body Types

If you’ve read my blog for the past few weeks or you’re a new mommy, you’d know that #bodystruggles are real. I mean .. if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m going to Greece soon, I probably wouldn’t even try to wear a swimsuit until next year! And I know you guys probably think I’m crazy and that the hardest critic is yourself, but seriously guys, it’s hard to feel confident when all your mind can focus on is the flaws. That’s why I was so inspired to create this post for you guys to find the perfect swimsuit that not only flatters your body, but to help give you the confidence & grace to rock your body this summer!

1. Straight Body Type

If you ladies have a straight up and down body shape, meaning the distance from your shoulders and the widest part of your hips are the same then you are probably a straight body type (or “rectangle/ruler.”) This beautiful underwire one piece with ruffles is perfect in highlighting your body and giving you the curves you want. The amazing contrasting black bottoms create an illusion of a smaller waist and a fuller bottom. If you look at people from the ’50s like Marilyn Monroe and all the retro styles you will see that this bathing suit is totally reminiscent of that period because women loved to show off their curvalicious bodies!

2. Athletic Body Type

If the widest part of your body is your shoulders and you have a smaller bottom half you most likely have an athletic body type. Sometimes, it can be a struggle finding tops that fit since your shoulders are so much wider than your chest and waist. With bathing suits though, the triangle cut of this adorable halter is great in narrowing the shoulders and bringing attention to your small midsection. And I love how sporty this suit is! Another option for you athletic girls are bikini tops that have the racerback shape in the front, where the arm holes create a C shape facing the center of your body so it highlights your shoulders! And let’s face it, shoulder cleavage is the best form of skin !

3. Curvy Body Type

I feel like a lot of times curvy girls are afraid to show off their body when it comes to swimwear, but much like Beyonce and Kim Kardashian, the trend now is to highlight these features! I love how this one piece highlights the curves and yet the print can also soften your curves. Not to mention the plunging neckline is super sexy!

When it comes to the beach this summer.. I’m definitely nervous about stripping down to just a bathing suit. But having the perfect swimsuit can make a world of difference! As for me, I’m going to go with a cute one piece, what about you guys? I hope these tips were helpful to you! Remember.. at the end of the day it’s how you rock the suit!
