As most of you know, most of last week was spent at home as I was on bed rest and also recovering from my minor surgery (as I talked about HERE) , but i’m excited to say that I woke up today feeling a surge of energy! I haven’t felt like my “normal” self in a long time due to my body changes and hormones, but today I woke up feeling fantastic! Something I haven’t felt in a long while, and it was a great reminder as to why I do what I do everyday. And I think that’s why I rely so heavily on my outfits to make me “feel good” because when you “look good” on the outside, it has a way of making you feel good on the inside. Never underestimate the power of a great outfit, it has a a way of transforming your body mind, and soul.
This particular outfit I wore the other day was one of my absolute favorites. From the feminine Crochet drop waist dress to this oversized Vanessa Bruno Coat. Can we take a moment and talk about this coat though? From the boxy silhouette, to the oversized pockets , to the oversized floppy hoody….I mean, it’s an oversized perfection! The detachable hood is probably my favorite part because it goes from cozy to strong with just a pull of the zipper. Not to mention it’s incredibly thick, durable, and cold resistant. Definitely one of those investment coats that can make a simple outfit into something incredibly unique & special.
Anyways I wanted to thank you all for being so supportive in my last few posts and being so concerned about my well being…it really means the world to me that you guys care so much! I found myself on this page after clicking on your post on Facebook. I don’t really understand why you find it necessary to say “my ugliest of times,” because a pregnant woman is a beautiful woman. It’s a stage of life, much like how puberty is just a stage, and how old age is just a stage. This denigration of pregnancy is unwarranted and is hurtful to other women who are also going through this stage of their lives given your status as an advocate of beauty and fashion.

Chriselle… just watched your video and want to wish you the smoothest, happiest delivery!! You look absolutely beautiful and I am excited for this new adventure you and Allen are about to embark on. Our daughter just gave birth to a precious little girl two months ago and our granddaughter is the light of our lives. I’ve followed your blog on and off for a while now and what got me off was because I couldn’t relate to you. I mean you wear clothes I can’t really afford and you are tall, thin and pretty and you layer alot! l live in Houston where it is hot (no layers), i am short and average build, and work in an office. HOWEVER, when i found out you were pregnant I started following you again..maybe because I was trying to get pregnant and currently Am. and you seemed so real and I loved your honesty and I have really enjoyed taking this journey with. I know you will be a great mom and I wish you nothing but happiness.
I wouldn’t wonder why this is one of your favorites. It is mine too! I just love how dramatic and feminine the lace is. The coat is a pretty statement that added hue while the shoes gave this ensemble an edge. I just love it. I wish you and your baby well Chriselle. I can’t wait to see Chloe soon! 🙂
