The Sea & the City

I live by the sea but I work in the city .. Today on the one thing that makes sense when I’m in both places.

The longer and longer it’s been since I’ve last travelled, the more and more I’m getting anxious to fly again. But since I can’t go to my favorite city this time of the year (Manhattan, NY), I guess living in Manhattan beach is close enough? I love the big city, but recently I’ve been finding that I like having a more quiet and suburban place to call home. When I got married to Allen, I had the hardest time letting go of my loft in LA. I love the fast paced energy and bustle of big cities. But now my Saturday morning walks by the beach with the hubs and Mignon are what I look forward to the most. Seeing Mignon run around on the sand is so cute and makes me so happy. I can only imagine how it will be like when little Chloe is finally here!

I think that’s why I love this Fay coat. It’s a very classic piece that can be interpreted in different ways. It makes just as much sense when I’m wearing it by the beach, as well as when I’m back in the city. I can definitely see this on an uptown girl who loves to dress up as well as the laid back Cali girl who spends her time by the ocean. I love how nautical it looks with the straps, but also how luxurious the wool feels.  See more coats from Fay, here. Especially during this season, pairing it with red while I’m in the city really gets me in the holiday spirit!
