Not a lot of people know this about me, but I actually read a lot. When I have time- which usually is when I’m on an airplane- I love getting lost in a book and letting my imagination run! I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely can’t wait to curl up by the Christmas tree with my next read (though now, most of my reading happens via listening)! If I don’t happen to have a physical copy of the book, I love listening to Audiobooks or Podcasts.
PS: SO many of you asked about these glasses when I posted them on my Instagram! They’re super chic frames from Michael Kors.

Love your recommendations… I will be buying some of your books. I love your nail polish. What is color and brand? Thank you! Happy Holodays
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. HIGHLY recommend this book. It probably has to be my #1 book of the year. & if I had to pick one more- A Thousand Splendid Suns. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions!
I second Americanah! Just finished reading it and feeling a sense of loss that I’ve finished it. A wonderful book!
I second A Thousand Splendid Suns! Such a good read. My parents are from Afghanistan, so I found this book even more interesting.
No I haven’t read those books
The Bridge of Madison county and Beauty
As I website possessor I believe the content here is rattling superb, appreciate
it for your efforts.
I have always loved to read! Lately I have been listening to audio books with my hubby at bedtime. It has become a lovely ritual. We are “reading” Mr. Dickens and His Carol for the holidays. I want to read Emotional Intelligence Happiness. Love the glasses!
You made me curious about these books…gonna read them ☺
If you enjoyed emotional intelligence Happiness, then you may also be interested in Emotional Intelligence Mindfulness. I just finished myself and Loved how the information was in bitesized chapters; it was really interesting, especially from a business point of view, how mindfulness can help us open our minds and be more more productive as well as manage our emotions better.
First, those glasses are beyond chic. I wish i had the patience to wear glasses but sadly they always bother me when they’re on my face.
Second, two of the books I read this year that I would HIGHLY AND VERY LOUDLY recommend to anyone are The Alice Network by Kate Quinn and The 12 Kings of Sharakhai by Bradley P. Beaulieu. Both books are in completely different genres but are so rich in their characters and plot. 10/10 I say put them on ypur list.
Who makes those wonderful silver aviator glasses?
I absolutely love Rupi Kaur! Didn’t know you liked her poems too! 🙂
Love,
Nikki
Love this! My recommendations: any novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is amazing. And, always and forever, a Marian Keyes novel for the holidays.
Haven’t read any of the books listed above, but I have been reviewing some of my old favorites like The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. Can’t wait to try out your recommendations!
How to get shit done 😂
i really want to read i am Malala! The documentary was incredible x http://www.justsavxnnah.com
Love reading books!! Just amazing tools to get lost when you need to find your calm.
Whenever I feel worked up, I always stop whatever I am doing and start reading.
My favorite book : Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. (I know, it’s childlike, but I love that book)

Wondering why you’re reading The Woman in Cabin 10 but it’s not on your list. Did you enjoy it?
Great post Chriselle!!!! I will definitely check out some of the books from your list. I’ve read several books this year. Just finished The Girl On The Train. And currently I’m reading The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish!!!! Very interesting and fun read. I’m an avid reader, as it is my favorite pastime when I have downtime to chill by myself. I’m also an aspiring writer. So I try to write as often as well. Love the glasses!!! They’re very chic😊

I’ve read some great books this year! I read Talking as Fast as I Can! by Lauren Graham (a.k.a. Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls) If your a fan of the show and want something lighthearted and funny, its perfect! I also recently read My Antonia by Willa Cather which I thought was a beautiful story and just finished Brave Companions by David McCullough which was full of very interesting stories of people throughout history. Just to give a little variety 😉
