Happy 4th of July, everyone! If you’ve noticed from my Instagram and IG Stories, I’ve gotten EXTREMELY tan. More tan than I think I’ve ever been in my entire life! That Ibiza sun, you guys. I soaked it all in. While I’m really loving how I look with a little color, I still made sure to take good care of my skin when I was out in the sun. That meant SPF layered on top of more SPF!
I gathered my 6 favorite products for tanning- whether it be SPF, self-tanner or shimmer, and trust me, you’re going love them! Here are the 6 products you need for the perfect tan:
Step 1: Put on that sunscreen. This is step 1 for anything and everything no matter what but especially if you plan on spending a day tanning! This one by Dr. Jart+ is SPF 30, plus it’s moisturizing so you kill 2 birds with 1 stone! Remember to ALWAYS reapply throughout the day.
Though any SPF is great, a special sunscreen for your face has it’s benefits. This one in particular is very moisturizing, has aloe vera and goes on very smooth. The travel size is perfect for throwing into your beach bag, too!
I didn’t fully appreciate a spray sunscreen until I had Chloe. It’s so much easier to just spray down a kid than having to rub them with sunscreen! This one in particular is also great for spraying over your makeup as it leaves a matte finish. It’s also made with hyaluronic acid to increase hydration throughout the day.
Even after a day in the sun, I like to give my legs a little extra love with this Supermodel Body by Charlotte Tilbury. It gives my legs a gorgeous shine and a little extra color.
No matter how much you prepare, sometimes a sunburn finds you out of nowhere. That’s where this mist comes in. It’s soothing, cooling, and helps relieve redness all while giving an extra boost of moisture.
You might recognize this little bottle from my summer skin + hair post. You can use this oil all over your body, including your face and hair! It gives a lovely and effortless sun-kissed glow.
Are you guys ready to get your tan on? And if you’re in the US, I hope you have a fun and safe 4th of July!
