How to Contour & Still Look Natural

To say that contouring your face took the world by storm would be an understatement. It literally changed the way people did their makeup, their shopping habits and how the people of this world started to look. (Too far? My bad. lol) But for someone who’s makeup routine is pretty basic, just the thought of contouring my face has always made me feel slightly nervous.

I don’t define “contouring” as a little bronzer here and some highlighter there, but by full on “Kardashian style” contouring and how can I contour, still look natural, and not look like I have a giant bronzer-colored streak down my cheek? So, I asked my girl Mikayla to give me an easy step-by-step natural contouring guide that any makeup novice could tackle.

So, with a little sneak peak of something SUPERRRRR exciting coming on the YouTube channel soon, here’s how to contour and still look natural:

To finish off my look, we went with a bronzy-copper eye, a nude lip and some strong brows. Easy, clean, strong and chic! Perfect for a summer day.

Step 1:
Apply contour powder or cream starting from the center of your ear brushing it out toward the corner of your mouth.

Step 2:
Set all creams, and then blend a shimmering bronzer on top, keeping it toward the edge of your face.

Step 3:
Apply your favorite gold highlight to the high point of your cheekbones!

Step 4:
A warm peachy blush will blend everything together and make you look like a bronzed goddess.

See? Totally doable. Let me know in the comments down below if you’re ready to tackle contouring! And keep an eye out to see this look and more on the channel!  If haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, make you sure you do here!

Contouring really takes a lot of practice for it to look natural, especially since everyone’s face shapes are different, so what might work for someone may not work for you. Loving all of these universal tips though! 🙂 <3 Definitely helpful!
