I can probably say that my recent trip to Cannes was the lightest I’ve ever packed. I packed a total of three to four dresses and around two pairs of pants and tops. Today I wanted to talk to you guys a little bit about what to pack when vacationing this summer. My recommendation is to stick with dresses the most you can. They’re light to pack and they allow you to not think about having to pair an outfit together. Always look for dresses that can easily transition from casual to dressy. I wore this dress as a beach cover up, while exploring the city and dressed up with a pair of heels to go out to dinner! Just throw in some good flat sandals, one more casual and one that can go day to night, a good pair of heels and some cute accessories and you’re good to go! So if you’re going on vacation soon, be sure to check out my summer travel checklist!
1. Three dresses: A maxi dress, a little white dress, and a little black dress.
2. A pair of flats, like these!
3. Two pairs of sandals, some slides and these!
4. A straw bag, like this one! The perfect purse / beach bag!
5. A straw hat, like this Janessa Leone one!
6. One statement piece, like this necklace from Jenny Bird!

This shade of yellow is so gorgeous! I have been such a fan of it recently, especially after seeing it all over the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. It is bold and bright enough to make a statement but is so beautiful. Plus the ruffle detail throughout the dress was beautiful. The straw hat with your straw bag was cool and definitely reminded me a lot of Jane Birkin. She was always so iconic with hers and so are you! I hope you are having a good time!

Great tips. I used to travel quite frequent for work and I learned to pack light. Summer travel is great because the items are lighter and I agree with you. I tend to bring a few dresses I can dress up and down for space-keeps-sake and because I love dresses. I went to Cannes a few years ago for work and I had the best time.
