As I get older, I’m realizing that comfort is just as important, if not more important, than being chic. Though a little bit of both doesn’t hurt! So when I paired these loose fitting pieces together, I really tried to keep that in mind. This knit turtleneck along with this incredibly soft over sized cardigan and relaxed trousers are a perfect mixture of both. Maybe it’s because I’ve recently traveled to France, but I’ve found that I’m really inspired by the French woman. (Like their beauty tips!) Her style is effortless, yet very well tailored and put together. That’s why I really wanted this outfit to have a relaxed fit but still tailored in all the right places! These trousers are amazing because they’re slightly tapered at the ankle which allows you to play with looser pieces on top while still looking polished!
I’ve noticed that I’ve really been into longer tops this season, and this sleeveless turtleneck tunic is definitely on my list of must-have items for this Fall. Because of the turtle neck silhouette, it’s very sophisticated, but the fact that the tunic is sleeveless, it gives a more young and modern feel. As you know, I’ve always been a big fan of monochromatic looks and this is no different. I think outfits look very well-coordinated and well thought out when there’s a matching element to them. I think layering the tunic with a piece of the same color makes a strong statement and makes an outfit look luxurious. When layering for Fall, there’s a few things to remember. It’s important to note the weight and textures of knits! Layering can look really chic, but if done wrong, it can make you look really bulky!
What pieces are on your must-have list for Fall? Here are more of my must have items for this Fall. Let me know in the comments below!

I adore this sleeveless tunic, especially with the turtle neck! I’m huge into the fall and I love the comfort (as well as warmth) it provides but when things get too hot because you got too many layers once you enter a room- it gets a little much. This is a perfect solution and it fits my comfort yet chic style to boot! I adore it, and I love that it’ll fit with my gold jewelry since I wear it every day 🙂 Awesome photos and post!

Longer tops/tunics always look so chic and effortless 🙂
And I definitely agree – sometimes, comfort is more important than chicness (though we’ll always try to find a way to balance the two) <3
Loving the tailored pieces and more relaxed silhouette of this outfit – it definitely gives off that effortless French woman vibe!

Confused – the sweater combo and pants are not the Ann Taylor combo. What are the actual brands of what you have on?
