I’ve been on a preppy kick as of lately, if you guy notice my blog posts I’ve been sporting minimal outfits with hints of a collegiate vibe. It’s kind of odd though since I always felt like a bit of a rebel.
I recently discovered this line Maiyet, a fashion brand that is pioneering a new luxury that celebrates rare artisanal skills from unexpected places. As you can tell from my outfit this line has a classic European aesthetic that fits with my obsession with all things European! I instantly gravitated to this particular sweater due to its soft blush tone, but found an unexpected surprise in the back. At a glance it looks like a well crafted basic crew neck sweater, but the back is what makes this sweater so unique. The silk ties add a touch of sophistication & femininity that I love in my everyday looks.
Like I’ve been mentioning in most of my outfit posts, it’s the details that get to me. I have found my new hat of the moment! I still love my boater, but I’ve been switching between it and my new Maison Michele hat depending on the outfit. I was initially drawn to the hat because of its fit and delicate raw edges, but it was icing on the cake when I discovered that it was in collaboration with designer genius, Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel. Couture Millinery Maison Michel is known for their handcrafted approach to their hat design. And since you all know I’m a skincare freak, the brim is even more amazing since it covers most of my face !
For now I’ll just pretend to be wine tasting in Tuscany, but hopefully I will be traveling to Europe real soon, stay tuned for more news on that!
