5 Favorite // Eyeliners

When you use eyeliner as much as I do .. you bet I’ve tried most eyeliners to find the best fit for me! Believe it or not, not all eyeliners were made equal. And to get that long lasting intense line takes a lot of trail and error! But to make it easier for you guys.. I’ve narrowed it down to the top 5 liners I’ve used and loved! I prefer my liner intense, long lasting, and perfect (is that too much to ask?)

Here is an honest review of the top 5 favorite eyeliners I’ve used !

Stila Waterproof Liquid Liner

Pro: Easy to use, waterproof

Con: Dries slowly (10-15 seconds)

Pen goes on very smoothly and the liquid is very very consistent. Since I use eyeliner every day, this is by far the most long lasting eyeliner! There’s no smudging (even for oily skin!) and the product usually lasts around 5 months for me. The felt tip application is very easy to use, and you can build up to the line you desire. It’s very highly pigmented so a few strokes is enough to get a very strong line. Don’t forget to shake before using!

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner

Pro: Dries quickly, goes on smoothly

Con: Too thick

Gel Liners are always great for building up to that perfect line, and is incredibly forgiving if you make a mistake. So what more perfect gel is there to go with than Bobbi Brown? It’s almost feels like liquid because the color is so highly pigmented. Thick liners like this one lasts really long so that’s always a plus. And a side note .. since the liner is so thick, don’t use a thin eyeliner brush to apply or it’ll take you a long time! It’s best paired with the Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush so I definitely recommend using the two together! & I don’t recommend using gels if you have oily skin as it can melt the eyeliner and give you raccoon eyes.

L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Liner

Pro: Intense color

Con: Smudges

This eyeliner is great for doing a smokey eye! The color is incredibly intense, and I like using this to build up my line and create a very smokey effect with black eyeshadow. It might smudge a bit, but I like it because when I use a darker shadow it’s not a huge problem at all, and can give my eyes a romantic effect. L’Oreal is great for highly pigmented color and this is no exception. For a sharper line, you can use the sharpener that pulls out on the opposite end!

Benefit Push-up Liner

Pro: Fast drying, long lasting

Con: Can get flakey

For readers who has issues with gel and liquid liners, this is a great alternative because it’s a gel liner in pen form! (What?) I love that because it’s the benefit of gel liner made super convenient. When applied, it’s super creamy and easy to mold into the perfect line, but it can definitely clump and get flakey if you try to go back and re-work it too much. It’s a really unique liner because it’s a rubber tip and the gel comes out in between. The rubber tip is great for hugging your lash line and getting incredibly close to your lashes without spilling into your eyes! This liner takes a few tries to get a perfect liner, but the concept and application is great once you get the hang of it.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

Pros: No Smudges, precise & long lasting

Cons: Dries quickly

This Tattoo Liner pen is great for the precise and long lasting cat eye. The pen is flexible and you can build your line to be as thick or thin as you want! I like this because it gives me a strong cat eye and I’m in control 100% of the time because of the easy control I get! (Think drawing with a marker.) Absolutely love this for a very strong and intense look!

Ps. This could try easily so make sure you store it in room temperature and cap it after you’re done using!
