3 Chic Lounging Outfits

The day has come .. I’ve given up on fashion and have decided to wear sweats or just plain ol no pants. Hah just kidding. Did you guys ever think there would be a day where you’d see me be photographed in sweats? But actually I wear sweats a lot when I’m lounging at home! (Don’t tell anyone though ..) Now that i’m less than 3 weeks away from giving birth, i’m doing my best to stay at home as much as I can. So in preparation for hibernation season, I’ve prepared three looks for you guys to rock when you’re at home! (Or wherever you need to look cute lounging around.)

 1. The Boyfriend Shirt

This is the easiest look to rock as all it requires is one of your boyfriend or hubby’s dress shirts! Instead of grabbing his old t-shirt, I like to opt for a crisp dress shirt. They tend to be a bit longer than a t-shirt, and I like to roll the sleeves up to give it a worn in but tailored look. I particularly love wearing men’s button up as it has this slouchy yet sexy look. Definitely easy to wear lounging around the house, but equally as chic when slightly tucked in with a pair of jeans and heels.

2. Oversized Sweatshirt & Silk Shorts

I like mixing  casual sweatshirts  with elegant silk shorts when I’m lounging at home. It’s the perfect mixture of comfort and sexiness. Also, how perfectly appropriate are my cozy winter socks? I love how the snowflake print matches the white lace of my shorts! (But I think Mignon likes my sweatshirt better.)

3. Tank & Sweats

I wear this look probably the most when I’m at home. I can move around the most in sweats and it keeps me the most warm! I love this soft oversized cardigan that almost functions like a blanket. The trick to this look as it can easily look too casual, is to pair it with a sexy silk strappy tank or one with a sexy back detail. I  absolutely love a good backless tank.

So there you have it 3 Chic lounging outfits to wear at home! The key to successfully pulling off cute non sloppy indoor outfits is to juxtapose materials and textures, and also to mix casual and sexy pieces together. Pairing cotton sweats with a silk tank, or laced silk shorts with an oversized jersey top. Wishing you all a warm and cozy hibernation season! Which look are you more likely to rock?
