How to Create the Perfect Instagram Worthy Corner

It might just be me, but I’ve always found interior decorating to be kind of overwhelming. Between all the inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest and everywhere else across the internet- I have no idea where to start! But just like anything, baby steps are key.

So what better way to start small than to decorate the perfect Instagram worthy corner! You know what kind of corners I’m talking about- those perfectly curated yet totally effortless slices of Insta-worthy heaven? Well, they all have some things in common.

So here’s how to create the perfect Insta-worthy corner:

1. Books & Magazines 

Inspiration comes from everywhere, but I especially love curling up with a magazine or a fashion book and just losing myself in new ideas! Plus, they look pretty. Books and magazines are a great way to add little pops of color and height to your corner! Not to mention a good coffee table book is the perfect gift.

2. Candles + Scents

I love candles SO much! I think I always have at least one or two burning at all times when I’m home. Of course, be sure to keep out of reach of children and don’t burn for extended periods of time. My favorites at the moment are this one and this one! But if you’re looking for a more affordable option- Hannah picks up this one for under $15 every time she’s at Target! This hand cream also smells like the most heavenly rose garden ever imaginable.

3. The Bigger Pieces

I think I can spend as much time looking at furniture online as I do shoes. And that’s saying something! But did you guys know that Amazon has some pretty good furniture? From a cute poof for under $100.00 like this one or a cool bar car like this– the big pieces don’t have to break the bank. The trick is to add texture! Mixing wood, leather, and wicker are a great combo- and a faux fur blanket doesn’t hurt either!

4. The Accent Pieces

Cute little accent pieces are like the cherry on top of your picture-perfect corner. I decorated mine with some pretty perfume bottles, some sunnies, jewelry and a framed baby picture of Chloe! It’s the little things that can pack a big personality punch- so it’s really about finding things that speak to YOU!

5. Fresh Flowers

Without fail, Allen always picks up fresh flowers for me every week. I love playing around with them and trying out different kinds of vases to go with them. It’s such a great way to bring in some extra color and texture into your corner!
