Chic Summer Sandals You Need In Your Closet

Summer has finally arrived in LA (temperature-wise) and I’m so happy!

It’s been really overcast here the last few weeks, so I’m so happy to see the sun making its appearance! Can you all believe that it’s already July? This year has been just speeding by.

In the spirit of warmer weather, I decided to round up the chic summer sandals that you NEED in your closet because we all know that not all sandals are created equal.

Sandal styles range from: kitten heels, lace-up, slides, flip flops, etc. but these are the 5 Summer Sandals you need in your closet as staples:

BLOCK HEEL

The block heel is the summer equivalent to a bootie. Hear me out- you still get some height from the block heel but they’re casual enough to wear on the daily because they’re not obviously dressy. Of course, they can be dressed up or down. This pair from LoQ is so much and sexy. I love the unique heel and design. I’d most likely wear this sandal with a pair of slouchy jeans and a breezy button-down or a breezy dress.

SLIDES

Slide sandals are a closet staple for me! I think they’re the closest thing you can wear to being barefoot and the easiest to put on when you’re in a rush. You can slip them on and off in seconds and they’re super comfortable to be walking around in all day. This pair from Paige is great. I love the scalloped edges and grommet details! I’d wear these sandals with an easy shirt dress.

METALLIC

I love a touch of metallic in the summertime! These lace-up sandals from Zara are sadly sold out, but I found a similar pair. They’re definitely a dressier version of your old trusty lace-up sandals and totally add a touch of luxe to any outfit!

COLORFUL

What better excuse to wear a punch of color than in the summer? If you gravitate more towards neutrals as far as your wardrobe is concerned as I do, then adding a little dash of color via your sandals is the perfect way to dip your toes (see what I did there) into something new. KITTEN HEEL

Reformation Porto Sandal

Kitten heels are back and I think they’re here to stay. Thank God, because high heels can hurt! These gorgeous lace up kitten heel sandals are from Reformation – who just released their own shoe line! I wore them while I was in Hawaii and I think I’ve officially fallen in love with them. One of my favorite things about these white lace-up sandals is that the white makes my legs look super tan.

LACE-UP

Lace-up sandals are another closet staple for me. This pair from Vince reminds me of lace-up leather flip flops, which is such a fun, cool twist! The leather is SO SOFT, and they’re so comfortable.
