A Day in My Shoes

Can you believe it’s already the 8^th day of the 12 Days of CHRISelle?!

I knew that having a second child would change things in my life. Friends who have two kids would always warn me saying things like, “just wait until you have your second one” and I never really understood the extent of how much busier and crazier my life would get- but it did! Don’t worry, I’ll be doing an updated post about that for you guys soon!

To be honest, as much as I love Colette, it feels like my life has been flipped upside down. It feels like I’m in constantly trying to juggle things – from the sleepless nights waking up every few hours to feed Colette to getting Chloe ready for school and dropping her off, to the conference calls, and important meetings. A typical day in my shoes usually means that no two days are actually ever the same, which is why I was so excited to hear that Rothy’s reached out to participate in the 12 Days of CHRISelle this year!

I’d never heard of Rothy’s until recently, and was so impressed with the brand! Their shoes are made from recycled water bottles and the fibers are 3-D knitted to help eliminate waste. The shoes don’t have any hardware or buckles which means they’re super comfortable and even WASHABLE!

Before I discovered these flats, I would always slip on a pair of slides or loafers but now that it’s getting colder here in LA, they’re totally perfect for the woman on the go. They’re just as easy and comfortable as a regular slide or sandal, but they cover my feet and make me look more put together. I went with the classic black pointed toe flats with a chic gold cap toe because if there’s one thing every girl needs in her closet, it’s a classic black flat!

Another thing I really appreciate about these shoes is how they instantly fit into every part of my life. With new shoes, a lot of times there’s a period of breaking them in which can be so uncomfortable. Since I’m constantly on the go- the last thing I need is to wait around for a few days to break in a pair of shoes! These Rothy’s flats were instantly comfortable right out of the box and quickly molded to the shape of my feet.

So no matter where I have to be – a meeting, chasing around Chloe, taking Colette on a walk around the block before I pump, my next conference call, or the grocery store, I’m so glad that I can rely on these flats to get me around all while looking good and feeling comfortable!
